Circadian rhythm - This is naturally a 25 hour cycle which determines when humans fall asleep. However, this cycle has become synchronized to 24 hours to correspond with the daily activities and the environment surrounding people. The existence of this cycle is thought to be due to: a.) fluctuation in adrenaline such that increase in adrenaline is accompanied by wakefulness and decrease in adrenaline is followed by sleep, and b.) fluctuation in body temperature such that decrease in body temperature occurs during sleep, but as morning approaches body temperature increases. Therefore, since body temperature is low during sleep, energy is conserved. This could also explain why some animals hibernate.

No, it decreases as we sleep. As we sleep, our body temperature gradually drops until around 4:00 am. That's why a lot of times we feel so cold during the night. As our temperature is dropping, our body is doing it's greatest healing of our bones, muscles, tissues, organs and energy levels. That's why it's so important to get 8 hours of sleep if possible. I'd be happy with 4 hours! One can only dream about it... ;oD

No. body temperature doesn't increase when we fall asleep, instead it decreases. this is because we don't use any energy whilst sleeping and our heart rate lowers. we are not awake and not active.

Our blood circulation decreases when we sleep and most of our body shuts down or hibernates for rest, therefor our temperature lowers.
