When I was at school the black kids seemed more muscular than the white kids.

Is this the case and is this due to them having higher testostereone levels.

If this is the case could that be one of the reasons for their underperformance at school. The extra testostereone could make them relatively more aggresive and more dominant and therefore harder for teachers to control.

i know the entire process of mitosis, meiosis in detail. but one thing strikes me that how do the daughter cells acquire their cell organelles? do the organelles get divided and thereafter get distributed? or are they produced by the cells after division? if it is so, what happens to those posessed by the parent cell? please also give info about mitochondria and chloroplast which possess 70S ribosomes and are capable of fission. any extra info or links are welcomed. i would be really grateful to your answers.

Hi I am doing a biology home study course and we have a mini test, one of the questions is 'where does absorption of food mainly occur from' with possible answers of duodenum, jejunum, colon or stomach. all my text books refer to the small intestines being the primary place where absorption takes place but I can't seem to find out if most occurs in the Duodenum or Jejunum. Any help would be really appreciated. thanks

Dreams are the only scientific phenomenon in which almost all humans experience, and yet no scientist has figured out what starts them, why we have them, what part of the brain does it happen, etc. It's such a huge and extraordinary part of our lives - I don't understand why more people fantasize about exploring and discovering the answers to these questions. One time I sprained my ankle in a dream and woke up with, surprise, a sprained ankle - and no, it wasn't psychosomatic, the doctor checked it out. Yes yes, I know there are much more urgent medical enquiries such as cures, etc...I'm just bemused and kind of sad we haven't learned more about the stuff 'o dreams! Am I missing anything?
