A liquid which affets marine life in a bad way, would have to be oil. If you have atched the news or heard reports over the last few years. We dump, spill, and thus pollute our waters with oil on a constant basis. The Valdeez oil spill off our Northwestern coast is a good example of what happens in large quantities. Many animals died, and many are still suffering because of the after affects of the polluting. In our everyday life, we pollute the waters so much, that we have seen certain drops in sea life, and many sea animals have become extinct. A great many scientists believe this is due to our carelessness in relation to the oceans of the world, and our dumping of oils and other chemicals. Hope this is what you were looking for.

The people that said water are right... but to explain water and how it can have an affect on marine life you have to be more specific. Water can be harmful if you have a plant that heats water up. (the water is not polluted with any chemicals or anything its pure H20) but when the plants dump the warm water into a river, lake, ocean, sea that is not suppose to have the same temperature as the warm water from the plant. it changes the climate in the water drastically that the fish and anything in it struggle to adapt to the millions of tons of warm water being poured into water that is suppose to at a temp of 75 degrees. that waters temperature after awhile will jump. its a real problem that people need to look at because plants will act like its not a chemical and it wont harm the marine life. but it really does harm the marine life.
