They have smaller lungs and everything. I asked this question earlier, but I got two answers.
1. Are you sure they can?
2. [Link to a website about how far they can dive/how long they can hold their breath.]

According to that website, they can dive some 180 feet and hold their breaths for 18 minutes, which is the record held by the emperor penguin. Either way, I still don't know how they can do it.

5- Why can osmosis only occur if solutions are separated by a selectively permeable membrane?
6-Why do phospholipids organize into a bilayer in an aqueous solution?
7- What part of a lipid molecule is in the middle of a lipid bilayer?
8-Why is the sodium potassium pump called an electrogenic pump?
9-Why is it that when biomedical researchers design drugs that have to enter cells to be effective, they sometimes add methyl (CH3) groups to make the drug molecules more likely to pass through plasma membranes & enter cells? When researchers design drugs that act on the outside of the plasma membranes, sometimes charged groups are added to decrease the chances of the drugs passing through the membranes & entering cells?

Thanks!

I know you can't really know that well without more information, but I'm just wondering if its likely I'll have this too. My father had fully grey hair by the age of 26...as his son is it likely I will too?

and the mother is white. i think its the same case for black and white too. (This is when the child is a girl) It seems like the child inherits the shape of the head from it's mother which is more round and with a flatter face generally for asians, so when its an asian father, the child gets its mother's white genes but with a cleaner cut appearance overall. I'm not trying to stereotype, this is just my observation. Like the kid could have blonde hair and blue eyes, but something about it still looks a little asian, and its a nice combo. I think asians have cleaner looking skin complexions or something, and the shape of the eyes too just looks cleaner, idk a better way to explain it. But when the mother is asian and the father is white, the kid kind of just looks like an american body type with an asian head and face, its not quite as nice. I'm not really familiar with genetics? Is there anything to back up my observation or debunk it? any thoughts? anybody else notice that?

I'm only familiar with the writings of Darwin from what was passed along to me in my biology textbooks in school and college. If you've read his works, or plan to read more of the collection, what do you think? Are they easy, difficult or even interesting reading? Are they better left to the biologists and serious biology students? What's your opinion? (
