I know deaths are really rare, but is there a way to prevent stings? My friend was stung, and she said it was horrible, and now with the death of Steve Irwin, I'm really cautious. I mean, its really hard to tell if something is in the sand when its all muddy.

I am doing a research project in Micro for this topic. Any ideas about microbes, what disease they cause, and how they are diagnosed and treated would be great. Thanks!

In the primate family, man is the one with the biggest brain and the largest sex organs.

I don't think evolution would give us alot of this stuff for no apparent reason. I don't believe in coincedences either.

Which came first?

Ok, I'm not balding, nor am I bald. I was just curious whether it was a disease or not due to some dubious lyrics.
While listening to the radio, a song's lyrics were something to the effect of "I'm gonna cure diseases like baldness and cancer." Perhaps those words were chosen as to stay in tempo with the song? Who knows. The lyrics were kind of strange anyways, and it was a country themed song.
