So I was looking at the size of my monitor. 14 inches according to every box and label. I got out my tape measure and the tape measure says it's about 15.5 inches. So I calculated the number of pixels (~2074 in the native resolution of the monitor) and converted that number to inches and it came out right at 14 inches.

Did I miscalculate something or is there some weird difference in inch measurements?

Perhaps it's something to do with the resolution of the monitor?

I am currently in a chemistry 101 class and my professor adamantly believe that colloids fall under heterogenous mixtures only . I have researched on a few definitions of colloids and some sources say that it is a heterogenous mixture, others say its a homogenous mixture. And some even say that it is both. Even the wikipedia source is confusing because under colloids it is considered a heterogenous mixture but when you look at the definition of mixtures and the different kinds, colloids (or colloidal dispensions are referred to as homogenous) fall under homogenous mixture. So if it is both, what then makes a colloid a homogenous mixture and a heterogenous mixture? Thanks!

I stopped smoking for three months and now within the last three months have been smoking marijuana at least twice a week but not more than 4 times a week. I have under 10% body fat and I'm in phenomenal physical condition. I haven't smoked for 4 days now and may have a drug test within the next 7-10 days. Will I pass a drug test? If not could someone recommend a reputable masking agent that would allow me to pass the test?

thanks

Occasionally things literally just disappear. We have lost the DVD remote for the bedroom...it was there one day and literally gone the next. We have hunted high and low, and turned the room upside down to no avail.
My new theory is that it has slipped through a rare hole in the space/time continuum and into a parallel universe.
In this place, they have the opposite problem to us. Things just randomly appear that you don't ever recall buying or having.
Anyway - has anything ever vanished for you? Odd socks, teacups, jewellery, pens?
I'm telling you - it's in that parallel universe, and lost for good until we work out how to get there and get all our stuff back.
