how is it impossible?

Not to me, but maybe to you.
I wouldn't go quite so far as to say they are impossible, since it seems they don't necessarily have to have a physical existence, they could exist on ones imagination.
Since I just watched The Simpsons on TV I'm not going to deny imagination exists.

One fact about your mind is that it only exists in the electrochemical interactions of neurons in your brain. There is nothing in there capable of exerting forces on distant objects, or making balls of plasma in the air.

If you claim to be able to create these, I applaud your creativity, but that doesn't change the fact that you're either dreaming or hallucinating. It's not real. This is backed up by the fact that nobody has ever demonstrated telepathic or telekinetic abilities in a controlled test.

It is not real in the sense that you can prove it exists scientifically. However, I have experience some wierd powers of mind over matter; so if it's real to you then, it's real to you.
