I'm doing a project in my physics class where we have to build a DC motor powered by one AA Battery.

Mine didn't work, and I need to find the answers to these questions.

-What happens to the direction of the motor's spin when the battery is placed in the opposite direction?
-What will happen to the direction of the spin of the motor if the commutator is rotated 180 degrees?
-What will happen if the commutator is placed in the same plane as the armature?
-What happens if you connect 2 batteries to the motor? 3 batteries? A 6V battery?
-How would you redesign the motor so it could run on 15 Volts?

i think so, because if they told everyone straight up then both scenarios would occur.
1:People would freak out and go crazy(Apocalypse)
2:Major Car Companies would lose money and have to make more money building cars that dont destroy the O-Zone Layer.
So they wait til the last moment when Earth is beyond repair and fire is crashing from the sky from God. Punishment is harsh, but people dont believe this will happen, because Politics are crap.
Yeah sure cars were one of the best inventions for transportation, and its every 17 years old dream, but it gets old, and its been too long, and time has passed and these Dreams will cause a Nightmare, if we dont stop it. This world we live in will be hell. People die, People Cry, time passes on, emotions hide

i checked in the back of the book and it said x=-2

the question says:
write in slope intercept form the equation of the line passing through the given point and perpendicular to the given line.

so it give
(-2,2), y=7
so i sub in 2 for y1 and -2 for x1,
the opposite reciprocal is -1/7
y-2=-1/7(x--2)
or
y-2=-1/7(x+2)
so i distributed
-1/7(x)= -1/7x and -1/7(2)=-2/7
y-2=-1/7x-2/7
then i added 2 to both sides leaving
y=-1/7x-2/7
and the answer in the back is x= -2
what did i do wrong

A heavy-duty stapling gun uses a 0.184-kg metal rod that rams against the staple to eject it. The rod is pushed by a stiff spring called a "ram spring" (k = 36352 N/m). The mass of this spring may be ignored. Squeezing the handle of the gun first compresses the ram spring by 3.5 10-2m from its unstrained length and then releases it. Assuming that the ram spring is oriented vertically and is still compressed by 1.4 10-2m when the downward-moving ram hits the staple, find the speed of the ram at the instant of contact.
