I've tried solving this using limits and L'Hopital's rule but I'm not convinced my answer is correct. Intuitively I want to say n^(1.01) is eventually greater than n (log n)^2, but a preliminary check on the graphing calculator shows n (log n)^2 even with a viewing window from 0 to 1e99 in both x and y. My limit approach told me n^(1.01) is greater, but I'd like to know what others think.

People say the Big Bang never happened because God created the universe...but what if God CAUSED the Big Bang? Maybe that's just his way of doing it. And thats why alot of the Big Bang doesn't make much sense?

I need help balencing this redox equation in NET IONIC form:
Zn(s) + 2 HCl(aq) --> ZnCl2(aq) + H2(g)

normally I would just do:
Zn + 2H+ --> Zn(2+) + H2
but our teacher wants us to use H3O+ instead of H+

So now I'm stuck with this:
Zn + H3O+ --> Zn(2+) + H2
and I don't know how to balance it.

thanks!!

What do I need to learn first to become a self-taught mathematician? Algebra, calculus, greek symbols??

I don't know a whole lot about maths because I did not get an education but I want to learn myself. I have a book called Introducing pure mathematics by smedley & wiseman and am reading this, but need also some web resources.

Obviously, with today's news of the crocodile man, we all are reminded that the natural world can be very dangerous. Are there any deadly sea creatures in the Mediterranean that I need to worry about?

I know there are at least two types fire extinguisher. One handles chemical/gas, the other does _____( like wood and other surfaces, but the name escapes me). I had the question wrong at first, but I fixed the wording. Please fill in the blank; it's for my Physical Science course which is tomorrrow, and since dying is not high on my list of things to do, I could really use the help. Thank you
