Trying to Conceive - August 2006

I ovulated between july 31st- Aug. 4th and had sex on 7/28 and 8/2, how soon could I take a test? My period is due right around the 17th, should I wait until then or could I do it a few days sooner? I do not want to get a blood test done just yet, I am not sure if it will show anything yet. My hubby and I have been TTC for awhile now. So I hope it is positive, I am axious to test but don't want to do it to soon. Any suggestions? Also if I would have concieved on either of the dates that I had sex, does anyone know what the due date would be? One more thing does anyone know if and when checking your cervix mucus is it always suppose to dry up after ovulation? I am just asking b/c when I checked it today it is still a lotion form and I can still get a few little peaks to form from it. I wasn't sure if this could be a side of pregnancy or not. Please try to answer all my questions. Thanks so much to everyone for taking the time to answer my question(s)!

It has only been 3-4 days after conception(if it occured) I feel sick all day, haven't noticed being more tired, i start getting a backache and a headache aorund 7 every night, and I noticed today that I have egg-white vaginal discharge.. I was recently diagnosed with Dysfunctional Vaginal Bleeding due to a suspected hormone imbalance. I was perscribed Ortho Tricyclen Lo to treat this disorder. Should I feel guilty for taking this medication? Is the pill anything close to having an abortion? I have never taken birth control pills before because of the fear that it was similiar to abortion since I think the egg is actually able to be fertilized. Anyone have and opinion about this? Also, I would like to start trying to have another child sometime next year, will this condition or treatment effect my odds?

Why do my overies feel like they are tender when my husband and I have sex? My best friend friend has been trying to get pregnant for several years. Her doctor has finally told her she's got a 40-50% chance of having endometriosis. She's got to decide whether to spend $5-25K doing exploratory surgery to see if she has endo (and to minimize the cysts) or to spend $18K to try in vitro without knowing if endo is her problem. Ok girls and guys. My soldier is home on leave for two weeks! We decided to make another addition to our family.
