Pregnancy - January 2007

When my youngest was a few months old, an older chinese lady looked at her legs, and told me my next child will be a boy. She said that because my daughter had 2 creases by her knee, this determined the gender of my next child. I've been trying to find information on this and I haven't had any luck. Has anyone heard of this?

I was wondering if you could tell by looking at your abdomen(not the BUMP when you get further along) before you actually knew you were pregnant? I'm waiting two weeks to get a blood test done,but my hpt all come back negative. I'm having all the symptoms,which most were occuring before I even thought about possibly being pregnant. We aren't exactly trying but we're not taking any preventative measures either. So I'm not stressed about it. Anyways,my abdomen looks,if you looks at your hip bones that stick out (for those of you who's do) I can see a line going horizontal across my abdomen,on each side,that including the hip bones,create a backwards looking seven. ? I haven't been working out LOL so they're not muscles. Ok,maybe that is the most random thing ever,and probably nobody will get what I'm talking about. My clothes aren't fitting any tighter,but I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this. Thanks. :)

I'm having my First child and i have To be induced tommrow Friday Jan 5th early in the morning, I'm being induced with Pitocin, I hear that it is the worst with Contractions, I'm determined to use no Medications with the pain is there anyone who did this and were ok, all i hear is horror storys about being induced with pitocin and is there any advice they can give me, I am so nervous and Scared. please help....

I am 37 weeks along with my second baby. I have an obsession with ICE. I eat it non stop when I get a soda through a drive through or something. Lately since our ice maker makes too big of pieces, I put a whole bunch of ice in a plastic bag and crush it with a meat tenderizer. I absolutely love it!! I know it must be bad for my teeth but I don't care. I am looking forward to when I am in labor in the hospital and they give me ice chips!! Any women out there have or had this craving during pregnancy? just curious

I've missed 2 periods and today is the first time my hcg showed up, doc says i'm 6wks. Glad to have a positive test, he said the line was faint but it was there. Little anxious will it show up on the blood test now that it shows up in the urine? Also my appointment was late in the day and i drink alot of water he said it could have been diluted. Nervous

ok i been curious can a girl get pregnant by a droplet of sperm in a finger....say they just ejaculated and dried himself with a towel...then felt to see if had any sperm on the tip of the head of the penis....there was only a tiny droplet and he rubbed it againt his fingers. after he fingered his girlfriend can she get prenant by this?

Okay...The past two months, my period has come on the 1st of the month...and I still havent started this month...and I've been pretty regular for about 6 months now. Meaning that I am 4 almost 5 days late. I do have sex, atleas once a week. I have been having weird food cravings lately, and eating things I dont normally eat. My stomach gets upset after I eat, as if I could throw up. Could I be pregnant?

34 weeks and so ready to pop! For those of you who have had children.. How much weight did you gain? I was 130 now I am 170.. But it is only in my stomach area, I am also 5'7. Is it hard to loose the weight? And when you had the baby were you sad that you weren't pregnant? Was it weird to feel your stomach? I have yet to get any stretch marks.. When did you get them, and how bad?

According to both of my ultrasounds and my last period my due date is March 31st, 2007, and I was told by my doctor that I more than likely conceived on July 8th, 2006. My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex for over a year, and we did have unprotected sex on July 8th in which he did ejaculate inside of me. But I have a problem. On July 10th, 2006, I was raped. It only lasted for maybe 30 to 45 seconds because after I started kicking and screaming he stopped. He did not ejaculate inside of me or anything, but I am aware that you could also get pregnant from precum. Who is more than likely the father of my child? Help me please!

me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex in oct. i am 14 weeks pregnant, and so far it hasnt been an easy pregnancy, and having a lot of time off, my employer has been very understanding. i would like to know if i am entitled to start maternity leave early due to my ongoing sickness, and be paid for it? i know that normally you cant start your leave before 11 weeks before your babys due date, but thats a long way off for me and i am struggling! also does anyone know if working in a pub, ie. a smokey environment, if you are entitled to extended leave or any other special rights anyway?? looked on the web but cant seem to find anythink. if anyone has ever had a similar problem or know of any websites to look on i will appreciate it. or just some advice! i cant afford to just leave my job, i need the money! thank you

Hello! I am 5 weeks pregnant and been spotting for 2 days. It happen right after I had sexual intercourse. So I went to the emergency room yesterday and they did a papsmear and vaginal u/s. dr said that my cervix is close and the u/s shows the sac and 5 weeks. but now I have been spotting for 3 days it hasn't stop. only 2 or 3 spots reach my panties, but i can see it when I clean my self right after I use the bathroom. I have some very light cramps(almost nothing). lots of gas. My hcg levels were done at 2 differnt labs. At my primary care Dr. the HCG quant was 2466 at 1pm yesterday and at 11pm done at the hospital was 1361 according to the dr that is 5 weeks. I don't understand the difference. are they different calibrations of measuring this test? please help. my breasts feel tendered.

I wen't to the doctor today & the doctor wouldn't tell me what it was because she said the sex organs hadn't fully developed & i'm only 17 weeks so..but she did tell me that my baby's heartbeat was 147 do you think that would be a girl or a boy i heard the faster the heartbeat means a girl & the slower it a boy?Is that true?

I started seeing a guy, who was 40. I'm 23, soon to be 24. I just found out, I'm pregnant with his child. We haven't been together a month yet...but he's assured me that he wants to be with me (hinting at the 'M' word) But obviously I feel like this is moving too fast. He's never been married, no children, great job and a fun, athletically built man. I must admit that he is in 20 times better shape sexually and physically then any 20 or 30 something man I've dated. So I guess what I'm confused about is, whether I should continue this pregnancy----knowing that my child's father will look like a grandaddy and I'll still be a hot mama. Also, I am NOT into him for money or lucrative benifits, because I feel he has more to gain by being with a younger woman, than I do by being with a older man. I just don't want to make a HUGE mistake and forever be attached to this 'old' man, while I may miss my call at younger, mutual age love. Any expereinced advice would be PREFERRED...Thanks a BUNCH!!!

If my girlfriend is having a Tubal Pregnancy is there any chance of not losing our baby? She has had sever cramps for a few days and one was bad enough to put her in the E.R. Thats when she found out she was 7 weeks along. The cramps are very little know but the heavy bleeding is still there and there is chunks in it also. The doctor at the E.R. heard a heart beat when he checked her also. She has been out of the E.R. for 7 days know. Im scared that we will lose our baby. Im in Iraq and cant come home for 2 more months. Can anyone tell me what I should expect. Thank you
