Baby Names - September 2007

I am only 5 weeks preggo but dreaming of baby names. Our girl will be Ava Ruth, but we can't decide on a boy name. I was wondering if you like the name Henry? I had a wonderful great-grandmother named Henrietta and thought it would be nice to honor her. Do you think it is too old-fashioned?

I'm not pregnant yet, but we're trying to think of names. The last name is Chiang (prnounced like chang) I am Irish/English and my boyfriend is a mix of Twaiwanese, Japanese, and Columbian (weird I know). For a boy we've settled on Aiden Micheal Chiang. What do you think? For a girl we like the name Arianna (with soft a's as in autumn, not like in apple) but can't think of a middle name we like.... NOT Marie, bc we know WAY too many people with that name. Also some more names, something unusual but not too wierd.....

It's a tradition to have multiple middle names in our families. All the names are or come from family names.My name is Natasha Grace Charlotte Dare and my husband is Austin James Elroy Friedrich. Does it go with our other childrens names Alyssa Charlotte Jade Noel and Nathaniel August Friedrich James. The last name is Crites.

There is a tradition in my family that goes WAY back... like to my great great grandmother. The first girl born in that generation has to have the middle name of Camille. (ie. I'm Julia Camille). I need some suggestions for a first name. The only thing I've come up with is Kaitlynne Camille. PS. I LOVE weird spellings.

Okay so I had picked out a name for my baby girl that is due in Jan. I liked Emma Raeleigh but now to come find out Emma is a very popular name. Is it not? Should I just stick with that name? And to top it off everyone really didn't care for the first name being Emma they all liked Raeleigh to be the first name so.... I need a little help on the middle name if that is what I am going to name her. I was thinking maybe Raeleigh Christine or Raeleigh Jo. Callie Anna---Anna is my hubbys grandmothers name she passed away on 8-20-07;
Jake Clayton---Jake and Clayton are two grandfathers names who have also passed.

I have my heart set on the name Ava, but I've come to a standstill with middle names. I would love to name her after a grandmother that I was very close to. Her name was Elizabeth Ann. I think Ann is WAY too overused, and I like Ava Elizabeth, but I really like the name Lauren. Would it be really tacky to name her Ava Lauren Elizabeth? I don't mind the idea of a double middle name, but is it doing my grandmother an injustice? I LOVE classic names, so please don't suggest I change Ava to Avah or add a middle name like Cheynaynaynaque or Aeryial or anything like that. I like traditional classic names and I want it to be very feminine. I'm torn on Ava--I've wanted Ava ever since I was a little girl and then Reese Witherspoon names her kid that and there are TONS of them. Do I stick with it?

She's a character: reserved, very proper, skeptical, and quiet. She's also very intelligent and brave ... her parents were killed when she was young and she and her elder brother were adopted by the villan of the story. She and her brother were both initially trained to follow in their adoptive father's footsteps (of course, he wasn't blatantly evil, so it was very subtle training) but both eventually rebelled against him. Her brother found out exactly what kind of things his adopted father was in to and was "sent away" to help with one of his fathers businesses, and was killed. Now she's trying to figure things out on her own without getting killed.

Her late brother's name was Mason; I haven't decided on a surname for them yet.
