I am only 7 weeks pregnant but am thinking of names already. For a boy I like Zhander Michael. Do you like this name? Would you prefer it spelled a different way?

I like the name but hate the spelling. It seems like your trying too hard to be different/cool. Xander Michael or Zander Michael would be a thousand times better.

I like the name, but would drop the h & possibly spell it with an x. Either way is cool though. Everyone gets teased at some time or another. I grew up with a very strange first name & funny spelled middle name. If you teach your child self confidence every thing should be OK. Xandra for a girl would be neat too.

It is awful. Xander or Zander are NICKNAMES for Alexander. The way you have it spelled, not only does it look made up, but it looks like it's pronounced Jander (that's a soft J in the front, like a French J). Awful. I think your son will thank you when you name him something else, and tell him, "You were this close to being named Zhander, but instead I picked a nice name".

that's a pretty cool name. i would name him alexander michael and then shorten it to xander though. that way if at any point in the kid's life he wants a more common name, he can go by alex.

zhander is not a good name you have to think of a name when your child grows up nobody will make fun of him or you could do Michael Zhander

First off, you don't know the gender yet and Zhander, is weird to me simply because I come from a generation of Zach, Nicks, Joshes and Brookes, Britneys, Kaylies and Ashleys.
Boys and girls with weird names get teased. I got teased because I'm a girl with a guy's name- and the spelling is unique and teachers don't know how to pronounce it. I love my name, and you may love your kids' name but others may not.

I'm sorry, but i don't care for the name. However, I can see if his name is Alexander, that 'Zander' would be a valid nickname. I say, go for it.

I already met a girl who named her son Xander. I didn't think it was cute then and I still don't. It sounds like some super villian cartoon name or something. sorry
