My husband and I love the name Naomi, but it's I moan backwards, and everyone seems to know this! I could not bear my daughter being made fun of this way! My husband actually pronounces it N-eye-omi instead os N-ay-moi. We're considering spelling it Niomee. Our last name is Nelmark. Any suggestions?

We have 3 boys, Steven Nicholas, Allen Keith and Cory Myles. What's a good middle name to go with "Jackson" for our 4th son? We're running out of ideas!!! Because of our last name and the first name we like, I prefer the middle name does not end with an 'r' or an 'n'. We are Christians if you can think of a good spritual name. Nothing trendy or wierd, please!

Thanks for your help! I will let you know what we decide!

Parents, please look up the names meanings before giving them to your child. I can not tell you how many kids names have bad meanings. I once knew a couple that wanted to name their child Pfahl (pronouced "fall").. which means wood stick in German! This trend of the name Camden is horrible.... Camden the #1 worst city in the USA! Why would you want to name your kid that?

Please share if you know of any crazy names people give their kids without thinking....

Thanks

Ok here's the deal. I recently found out that I am pregnant. I have six boys already, all of which are named after a grandfather and/or one of my siblings. (example: James Patrick , named after my father and my sister Patricia)
Now there is a huge chance of me getting another boy. I don't plan on having a girl, and I'm not getting my hopes up. My one sister said flat out "if you do not name this child after me, i'm going to be mad!' sounds silly, right? Its our child, she should just live with it. Its so hard to name a boy after her anyways, because of her name being Melissa Kay. So I finally agreed to Jeffery Kaden. Kaden being after her. She is now saying it should be Kaden Jeffery because she's my sister. Can I not please her? I say if she cannot live with the name that We choose for our child, then she should get over it. Am I right in telling her this? Or should I just give in?

but I want her to have that name because it's my husband's passed away wife's name. I do that because I think it will make my husband very happy. Do you think Lynn is a nice name? or is it too old fashion? Do you have any suggesion on a middle name to go with the name Lynn? Thanks!

Why are people insisting on giving their kids crazy names, or bizarre spellings of existing names?

I realize they want to be creative and unique, but do they not realize the trouble they cause for their child in their later life?

A liftetime of "how do you spell that"?
"Could you repeat that?"
misdirected mail
checks made out to the wrong name
credit reporting problems
misprinted identification
annoying questions from others

PLEASE people consider this when naming your children. If you are going to name your child "Christopher", don't spell it "Kryztafer"!!!!!!

Ask ANY immigrant with an unusual name the hell they go through because of it. Nobody can find them in computer systems because whoever entered it spelled it wrong. Every nametag and piece of mail they get is spelled wrong. It's a real hassle.
