I think missy can be a nickname for any girl. My daughter's name is Genesis and I call her Missy sometimes. Not like the name but like MISS

Melissa sounds great and is functional with the nickname Missy. But see how it sounds with your last name first. If it doesn't have a good ring to it, rethink the name.

well why would you want to give her a nickname like Missy anyways? i totally hate that unless your name is melissa then its okay. but why tourcher her like that unless you use the middle name as melissa. nicknames usuallu generate from the first name though find another name and x-out Missy. just totally forget about nicknames period.

You should name her Casey or Cassidy and then nick name her Cece. That's better than Missy I think. But it's your kid. My daughter's name is Madilyn and we call her Mad Madi.
