but I want her to have that name because it's my husband's passed away wife's name. I do that because I think it will make my husband very happy. Do you think Lynn is a nice name? or is it too old fashion? Do you have any suggesion on a middle name to go with the name Lynn? Thanks!

Even if she may have been a wonderful person, that is the past for your husband. He may not want to have to remember his passed away wife everytime he calls for his daughter or thinks about his daughter. Even though it could sound like a good idea now, in the end it could be a mistake, then it would be too late to turn back. Especially if you don't like the name Lynn...you may really regret it. Also, you are the mother of the child, if anything she deserves to be named after you somehow, It would be awkward to find out my mother named me after my dad's first wife and not anybody we're closer too.

BTW- that's really weird I saw this question because while i was bathing today I thought of how pretty the name Lynn is...and wanted to suggest it to somebody, sadly I wouldn't say this is the case to use it though.

how about making Lynn the middle name? that way your little girl can have her own first name while still holding the special significance it does for your husband. personally (although i may be biased because Lynn is my middle name) I think that Lynn is very pretty as a middle name, while not as nice sounding for a first name.

and remember, this is your baby girl as much as your husbands, so you should give her a name that is special to YOU too.

If you don't really like Lynn you could always make Lynn the middle name. Yes I think Lynn is a nice name, my favorite cousin's name is Lynn. I can't think of a middle name maybe Marie.

Why not use Lynn as a middle name? It still will honor the memory of your husband's passed wife, but also give you the opportunity to choose a name that you like more.

Why not make her middle name Lynn? It makes a beautiful middle name. And it's a compromise with your husband. But if oyu're really uncomfortable naming your daughter after your husbands wife, I don't think you should do it. I'm sure he'd understand. Because Lynn was not her mother, YOU are.

I think that Lynn is too, ordinary for a first name, more like a middle name. Maybe Samantha Lynn or Amber Lynn or even Candace Lynn. It also might be too hard on your husband like for memories and all.

I hope I helped,

I on the other hand like differnt names or different ways of spelling names. My daughter is Brittnie without the "a" or "i" in between the t and n.I do like Harlea pronounced harley.Or maybe Jamie?Jamie Lynn sounds nice.I got stuck with a total boys name my whole life Toni Lea.If I would of been a boy it would of been Tony Lee.Either way I was stuck with that name long before I came along. Now I like my name its different.Plus its not short for Antonette or anything just plain Toni.Thats why if I had another girl I would put Harlea at the end for my middle name which is also pronounced Lee.Good Luck.

You can always put Lynn with another name. My mother -n- law's middle name is Lynn and I wanted to name my unborn daugther after her. But I don't like the name Lynn either. So I put it together with my mother's middle name Marie. So now my daughter's name will be Ayana Marielynn.

Some examples like:

Raylynn
Kaylynn
Marilynn
Danilynn
Katelynn

These are just some example you don't have to pick one of those. Good Luck and Congrats

I would really suggest you use a name with Lynn in it, but not Lynn by itself. That will make it more unique and less old-fashioned. These are some pretty names with Lynn in them~

Kendralyn
Andralyn
Jocelyn
Rosalyn
Gwendolyn
Amberlyn
