Hillary believes the Federal Government can do everything better. Education and healthcare are just 2 shinning examples. Why not the oil business? The Democrats believe the Oil Companies polute too much so they must know how to do it cleaner. As they won't be out for obscene profits, we should be able to have $1.80 gas again. Sounds like a plan to me.

I've seen both types on here.

The second kind will only alienate the people you claim to want to convince, so it's hard to understand the point...other than seeking like-minded people to make you feel right.

Is this just a ploy to try and derail the Obama campaign or are Bill and Hillary justified to reveal scandals within their party?

Why should American tax payers pay for the security of other countries? If they can't, or won't, defend themselves, why should US tax payers care?

Would appear that 'teflon' Hillary, despite all the 'gates' attached to her remain on an upward curve.... looks like Mr. President Clinton's popularity is NEVER on the wain.

Barack apparently is being threatened by Hill's dirty tricks campaign and WE ALL KNOW THE REPUBLICANS HAVE AS MUCH CHANCE OF WINNING AS SADDAM HUSSEIN and he is dead.

There are 2 common arguments that CO2 can't be causing the current global warming. The entire arguments are that

1) CO2 can't be causing the current warming because it only comprises 387 parts per million (ppm) of our atmosphere, or 0.00387%. Surely at such low concentrations it can't be causing the current warming.

2) CO2 can't be dangerous or a pollutant because it's 'plant food.'

Well, some plants eat arsenic:

http://www.physorg.com/news64159534.html

And the scientific consensus is that arsenic is toxic at 10 parts per billion (ppb), or 0.0000001%.

http://www.news-medical.net/?id=5058

But I'm sure it's just a hoax. Nothing can be dangerous at such low levels.

So I ask the anthropogenic global warming doubters - if I gave you a glass of water containing the same concentration of arsenic as the atmosphere contains CO2 (387 ppm), would you drink it?

If not, will you accept that CO2 *might* be causing the current warming?

Take a look:
==========
If I work from age 20 to 60 and earn an average of $50,000 a year my earnings are $2,000,000 and the social security payments will be over $300,000 during that time. I will get back a little more then a $1,250 a month probably after I’m 67 years old if they don’t change that.

Now if I save $3,000 a year for those 40 years its $120,000. This would go into a retirement account at the rate of $3,000 a year where as the Social Security would go to the federal government and an average rate of $7,500 a year. But after 40 years of retirement savings my account in simple interest investments of just 6% will produce $465,000. If I continued to get 6% interest from this amount of money it would produce $2320 a month forever and even allow my kids to inherit that income or I could donate it – with social security I pay 2.5x as much in and get ½ as much out and have nothing for my kids?

How can anyone defend this system?

$ 80,000 is my gross income

Would Hillary explain to me how much my tax bill should be each year. Would she tell me how its fair that I buy health insurance for someone that isn't working even though I work 60 to 70 hours a week (self employed)?

BTW my current tax burden is about 27% not including sales taxes, property taxes, and certain fees I have to pay as part of my business. (remember I pay all of my social security because I don't have an employer paying any of it).

In light of Hugo's and Iran's desires to control the world oil market and hurt the US isn't it time we get off foreign oil fast? Is it possible for the left and right to compromise? Perhaps advance the green initiatives of high vehicle fuel standards, more mass transit, more bio diesel and in return the left give up a little on some domestic drilling?

To this day, 6 years after 9/11, our borders are WIDE open. Bush even authored and cosponsored a bill to give 12 million illegals amnesty. All of this because of the need of corporations for cheap labor. Because of his inaction, Americans are left to patrol the border on their own, without the protection or funding of the federal government. When will Bush put aside business interests and seal the borders?

The U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs reports:
Homeless veterans are mostly the vast majority are single, most come from poor, disadvantaged communities, 45% suffer from mental illness, and half have substance abuse problems. America’s homeless veterans have served in World War II, Korean War, Cold War, Vietnam War, Grenada, Panama, Lebanon, Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), Operation Iraqi Freedom, or the military’s anti-drug cultivation efforts in South America. 47% of homeless veterans served during the Vietnam Era. More than 67% served our country for at least three years and 33% were stationed in a war zone.

In addition to the complex set of factors affecting all homelessness -- extreme shortage of affordable housing, livable income, and access to health care -- a large number of displaced and at-risk veterans live with lingering effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and substance abuse, compounded by a lack of family and social support networks.
