The way in which the TOS is written makes it possible for Yahoo to remove any question or answer whether you believe it is a violation or not. Often times it seems that many questions and answers are removed simply by a violation notice being posted. I do not know what criteria the YA! staff uses in making their determinations. However, it is really not a matter of free speech. YA! is private service and is not bound contractually, legally, or even ethically to allow you to use their service. As such you are at their mercy. Speaking from personal experience in having tried to fight this battle of what constitutes a violation and receiving no satisfaction as a result, my best advice is to dismiss it and move on.

Yes, and they have full right to do so. Yahoo is a corporation and does not have to abide by the US Constitution in that sense. I suggest you start contacting advertisers who you see on Yahoo and let them know how accounts are suspended for no reason but those accounts are never really gone but used by Yahoo to pad the numbers of potential buyers for their advertisers. Compaining to Yahoo will get you nowhere. I've tried. If you can even get them to listen they are polite but then laugh at you behind your back. Getting to their advertisers is the way they can be made to listen. The advertisers are being ripped off. It isn't illegal but one would think it is unethical to lie about the potential number of customers for the advertiser based on bogus data created by Yahoo suspending accounts. Libs flag cons and visa versa and Yahoo simply doesn't care.

i agree with u . YA is soft on anti militant answers.
Freedom of speech is not absolute , in fact no freedom is absolute. whether speech, right to property, right to life. even fundamental rights.
YA has developed guidelines. Johnies we elect for legislative bodies decide our degree of freedom of 360 degree or less. The brass at YA does not want to be receiving threats for providing the exchange plateform. there have been incidents where overzealots have asked their national govts to block sights like orkut, yahoo
we must be tolerant a little bit

Freedom of speech concerns the government.
Yahoo can restrict your speech all they want, assuming they are not doing so on a basis of sex, race, religion, etc....
Also, I have had a few of my questions and answers removed lately, none of which violated Yahoo policies.
I think it is cowards from both sides, who lack the ability to debate rationally, and therefore must resort to reporting questions and answers they disagree with.

Like others reported, that's a private website consequently they could make regulations related to issues like this. That being reported, that's the different answerer's that have become their panties in a twist and reporting human beings basically because of the fact they do no longer trust their opinion. i think of Yahoo could evaluate the source and the region additionally earlier immediately bringing up you for violations. i be responsive to i've got been reported, like many others, for calling a individual who asked a question a moron, which he grew to become into and had in fact noted as others names in his question and accused them of issues he knew no longer something approximately. I basically think of, in case you may no longer take the warmth, stay out of the kitchen and/or, interior the "morons" case, people who stay in glass residences shouldn't throw stones.

If you like points... just agree with the left question poster, say "Go Hillary" "Hate Bush" and 10 points every time... Y/A is like the county fair for the left...... Once the left was the defender of free speech... but now (Fairness Doctrine) will become Free speech for all who agree.
