Santa is making a mockery of us all. When he says 'ho,ho,ho' he is laughing at the fact that he has just run off with his swag bag after taking all of our money leaving us with huge credit bills and the illusion that someone actually comes down our chimenies to give us gifts. This detracts from the whole purpose of Christmas.
If Austrailians cannot concieve that the phrase was quoted long before the term was associated with prostitutes ( or just girlfriends of rap stars which is really politically incorrect) then things are really bad.

He's not saying "Ho Ho Ho", that's the alliteration of the sound of his laugh. "Ho" doesn't mean anything, it's street slang that dumbasses use try and be cool/phat/dope/hip and so on. All those words have fallen out of popular use and so will "Ho". Santa (as ficticious as he is) will be around long after "ho" is gone. (unless HE becomes policitcally incorrect and they decide to make him female!)

This was debunked over the weekend, I thought. It turned out that a temp agency that employs Santas had warned them that loud "Ho" 'ing scared small children. They were encouraged to use "Ha" instead or to tone down the "Ho" if they sensed the children were frightened.

[ "Westaff has been a provider of quality, caring Santas for over 40 years," Sari Hegarty reportedly wrote in an e-mail. "Part of our advice to our Santas is that they should be mindful of children having their first Santa experience. We ask our Santas to try techniques such as lowering their tone of voice and using 'ha, ha, ha' to encourage the children to come forward and meet Santa." ] - 1

What next! Santa is fine. Some people are just too sensitive and need to get a life.

Did you forget your meds again. Santa is a symbol of love and caring and only a nut would call him anything negative. Peace

first of all, it would be sexism, not racism. that is, unless he worked in "nappie headed," somehow.

second, it aint america, its australia -- and this santa is an american commercial invention of the early 20th century.

and third, its not about politically correct, at least not in the "vast left wing conspiracy" sense -- read the article, this is a company that specializes in training santas for malls in australia, and this was a business decision they made to avoid offending their customers. however silly that is (and its very very silly), this was their business choice, and not an edict forced on them by some commie cabal.

personally, i think santa should just say "death to the infidels!"

catchy, aint it!

What makes it racist?
In Belleville, Ontario, the Santa in the Santa Claus Parade must say "hahaha" rather than "hohoho" because it apparently offends people!

I hope not. "Ho ho ho" was an expression of happiness long before it was a derogative term.
