The link works if you go to "Search" and type in the title of the book...The End of America.
Those are powerful words. She speaks of the eerie resemblance of all dictators the world over, and describes what is happening in America today. She speaks of Blackwater and the possibility of martial law. She speaks of torture and Secret Prisons as the tipping point, something we should all understand. since all dictators maintained Secret Prisons.
I have written of all of this on Answers, and I doubt if these young Republicans even understand the dangers. They repeat the party line as though it is written in stone, dismiss all of the things this author talks about as necessary for the War on Terror.
But, if we allow the War on Terror to destroy our country, haven't the terrorist's won? Wasn't that their intention, to so frighten Americans, cause unnecessary expenditures, follow the same path they did with Russia?
Each and every one of us should do some thinking and researching and exploring. Find out what is going on. Don't just repeat what you have been told, but explore for yourself. Find out what Presidential powers are....and what they should be. Find out what our Founding Fathers had in mind when they created this republic.

I checked out Luvmelu's links. Masterful Dominionist Propaganda. Sounds a lot like what we're already doing to ourselves and the Fundamentalists have put their seal of approval on all of it, including the "Real ID," mark of the Beast.
Some folks seem bound and determined to bring about the Appocalypse, thinking they will somehow be favored.
But, we've already seen what Judgement Day looks like. There was one way back in the Book of Genesis. laid on for a guy named Cain. God only asks one question, "Where is your Brother?" And Jesus made it clear as Day that it's the only question that really matters.
Only a few Christians are going to have the answer He's looking for. Somewhere along the line, Authority and Morality became all to them and people stopped mattering. In their arrogance they think that crying the name of Jesus gets them past the Second Chapter of Mark.
If the Fundies weren't so arrogant, they'd know how much trouble they'll be in when they face their Maker--and not be so anxious for it to happen.
Me, I am ready to face God, if She exists. With due humility, but no servility, and accept what I have coming.

I've seen it. Interesting, I believe she may be right. Actually I'm sure shes right. I'm sure this will take place after the rapture.

That was extremely interesting. And scary. I wish I could be as optimistic as she is and believe there is still time to change things, but I think it's more head-for-the-hills time myself.
