I thought it would take a little longer but I was wrong

Will it be OK when the dems start attacking each other and pointing out their flaws come nomination time? Don't forget the old school left leaning dems have to deal with newly elected freshman demo-cons that will stand to be dumped when they are forced to move to the left, learning to "Go along to get along",
That's the politics, baby!

When I express this opinion I'm told by Conservatives and Republicans, to get educated and get a real job. I have an education and I'm doing a job I absolutely love. Why do people automatically assume that I'm some highschool dropout because I support a minimum wage increase?

What is China doing that is different than what others are doing? Japan and Germany are both more wealthier than China, why aren't they superpowers?

On the other hand, what can stop china from becoming a superpower? How likely is it to happen? When?

Also, although China is making more money, are the people's lives nice? Do most of them have more than basic necessities? Or are many living in poverty because there's just not enough wealth to go around?

What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal" they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then the record of this party and its members demonstrate that we are not that kind of "Liberal." But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."

Well, now they are. PETA is now a terrorist organization.

Senate bill (S. 3880) was passed September 30 (legislative day, September 29), 2006 and brands as ‘terrorists’ nonviolent animal protection advocates, invokes excessively harsh penalties for comparable offenses, authorizes unwarranted wiretapping of animal protection advocates, interferes with prosecution of real terrorism against the American people.

Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act - Amends the federal criminal code to revise criminal prohibitions against interfering with the operations of an animal enterprise to include conspiracies and attempts. Revises and increases monetary and criminal penalties for such crimes and denies equal protection under the law and limits freedom of speech and assembly.

Im not a fan of PETA, But should they be considered TERRORISTS? (I can see the headlines now...."PETA activists arrive at Guantanamo")

The essential meaning of both words seems to be the exact opposite of how they are used and applied to various political perspectives.

For example, the work of the Bush is one of the more radical presidents in U.S. history--but the label that he claims for himself, as well as those who follow him, is CONSERVATIVE.

How come?

elections: each party will be mandated to nominate at least one minority/woman candidate to end the status-quo

foreign policy: we should stop terrorism at its root before it hits home like on 9/11

gay rights: gay marriage should be legal, but gays don't deserve special treatment like women/minorities

They give burglars more rights to sue home owners for protecting their homes, they want to tie the hands of the border patrol so that they cannot do their jobs, they send border patrol agents to prison for doing their job, they want America to lose the war on terror, they want to protect the rights of terrorists over the rights of our troops, they want to remove Christianity from a Christian nation in all aspects so as not to offend the small minority, and in general want to tie the hands of our troops and the CIA so that they cannot win the war.
I don’t know why anyone would think they want to destroy America.
