I see it. And it scares the crap out of me that others don't.

Well George Bush belonged to the "Skull and Bones" society at so toss that out.
But that minor point aside, there are lots of similarities. In fact, if you look at the way the Taliban ran Afghaistan, it was as bad as anything the Nazis did.
Look at Saudi Arabia - no freedom of religion for any religion except Islam - traverlers cannot even take a Bible into Saudi Arabia or practice Christianity in an organized way.
The Islamic extremists may be the more dangerous. Nazis were European and because of that, they had some small vestige (one would hope) of cultural values of the west. Cultural values of the west would clearly ring bells in most of their heads that what they were doing was evil. Those bells do not exist in Islamic extremists. Culturally, they can ram 2 planes into the WTC and proclaim, "God is Great". They can walk into a crowded restaurant and blow up everyone - kids, women, themselves. (Now the Nazis did an effective job of killing kids and women and a whole lot of other people in the death camps, but, unfortunately, suicide was not for them.)
But as to your premis, I think Americans see both as a treat to our way of life. Perhaps the exact connections between them has not been made. Afterall, paralells among Radical Islam, Nazis and the USSR and Red China could also be made.
Wherever we look, there is someone out to destroy American values and our very country. We will not let them.

You get it.
Iraq is the center of our war on terror. The Muslim countries all know this - Syria, Iran, Pakistan, etc. - and, most importantly, the terrorists know this - why the hell don't we know this?
Youth education - terror and murder - a demented ideology - world domination - unresponsive to negotiation, appeasement or diplomacy, an all powerful central figure, a common objective, etc ... etc....
We have seen it all before.
Chamberlain brought back "peace in our time" and, while the French were debating reasons to oppose Hitler, the reasons came marching into Paris with swastika arm bands.
Great Britain remembers, apparently the French don't. For all intents and purposes, Spain has already been defeated, and the allies who are withdrawing troops are playing right into the terrorists' hands.
If their tactics of terror, murder and maiming innocent people works, does the rest of the world really think they'll abandon them?
The consequences of loosing this war are enormous. I wish I had a magic wand to tap people who don't believe this on the head and instill a little reality and common sense into them - but I don't.

It is somewhat comforting that a few people get it. I don't feel so alone! Mahmud Ahmadinedad is the biggest piece of garbage that came down the pike in a long time and the liberals just want to appease him, like Neville Chamberlain did with Hitler. And we all know how that turned out! Ahmadinedad is the one behind all the terrorists and terrorist states in the Middle East!

Although Japan and not Germany attacked us back then the Muslim extremest are attacking wherever they can. The media in this country is living in the clouds and underplaying the unity among the terrorist. The basic challenge is more to get a handle on the media than confront the terrorist. Naturally the liberals fail to understand the real challenge and think bending over will solve the problems. Weakness is not tolerated by Asians as a culture and the middle eastern countries look at it as proof of ones lack of value. We need to treat them like they treat us and not have to deal with goodie two shoe politicians fearing how we handle terrorist. Germany has forgotten their war crimes and has no business attacking our handling of terrorist.

For the same reasons that people didn't recognize the threat that the Nazis were in the 30's. They think that if they close their eyes, problems will vanish. They refuse to believe that people are capable of being that evil. D Nile is more than just a river in Egypt.

I don't see it. Part of the rage comes from how the United States treats third world countries, let alone the cultural differences.
I think oil is the key issue here. Its in the interest in the United to have a better grasp on diplomacy in the Middle East.
A major difference lies in a lack of a racist componant underlying extreme Muslim idiology. Weren't the Nazis outspoken in adhering to a belief in racial purity going back to Aryan ancestry?
ANYone can be a Muslim. Only those free from Jewish ancestors were accepted in the Third Riech. Extreme Muslims did not regard Slavs as inferior or set about euthanising " defective" children. The absence of any ONE charismatic leader and the lack of a unified militaristic culture are another difference. National Socialism is / was an ethos, not a religion.
These are two different things entirely.

sure this is evident! they do love Hitler. Iranians do not hide this for example. remember there were muslims SS, remember the Mufti of Jerusalem.
their obsession with the jews and Israel, their feeling of religious community that is excluding as subhuman everybody that is not belonging.
islamist extremists and nazis are indeed very close. and extreme muslims are indeed a very dangerous and present threat.

What makes you think most Americans do not see this.
You ever try to swim upstream against those who oppose what you are saying. IE: American public to others, and to government officials.
If you get a chance, check out Glenn Beck tonight on HLN. He should be on once again at 8:00 CST - if you are not able to view him now. Interesting, no..

... extreme muslims aren't taking over other nations... that's a HUGE DIFFERENCE... they aren't putting jews in camps and killing them in mass... THAT'S A HUGE DIFFERENCE... muslims are mainly religious fanatics, Nazis, not so much... THAT'S A HUGE DIFFERENCE... and probably the most striking in my mind... Nazis were on the forefront of technology... muslims... about 50 years behind the U.S. for the majority...
while there are some similarities... there are also some huge differences...
Tok H: Ahmadinedad isn't even in control of Iran... much less all terrorists... how about looking at how Iran's government is actually set up for once... there is a religious council that makes all the decisions behind the scenes... Ahmadinedad is just a figure head for the nation... a cheerleader...
