Why are the Labour party incapable of ever offering alternatives, whether it is recycling, road congestion, air travel, whatever?
Their answer to absolutley everything is to increase tax, how will this help the situation?
I doubt very much whether the much talked about 'green taxes' will be ringfenced and used soley for the purpose of improving the environment and negating our destructive influence.

We are told that councils will be able to levy charges according to the weight of your rubbish, I agree in principle but will that be offset against the weight of our recycling and will it replace the rubbish collecting element of Council Tax? I doubt it.

This is just one small example.

Your views please.

First let me be Clear I am not a member of the religious right and havn't been to church in yrs. I am a constitutionalist. First i find it of nocoincidence that the fouding fathers grouped religion in with free speach, free press and free assembly. Many of you have learned about the separation of church and stat but few actually know exactly what the constituion says and more on what is taught in schools and reported on the news.
!st Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances
The historians among us know that it is through Judicial means that prayer in Public buildings ie schools was percieved as tacit approval of a religion and this is how modern law hads come into being
But I am reffering to original intent.

The top three cities the military recruits from in the US are 1. Houston, 2. San Antonio, and 3. Dallas

Texas already produces 1/3 of the energy for the US & Canada (ERCOT).

Texas has enough Natural and Oil Production support itself.

For every $1.00 Texans' pay in federal taxes $0.70 comes back in federal programs (comparrison to Massachusetts that for everyone $1.00 they pay they get $2.12 back).

So why should Texas be part of the US?

Other problems are ... since Texas is part of the US we are a target of Terrorist and we have to fight wars to secure the oil reserves of the US... We should be defending Texas not a foreign nation that is sucking us dry ....

Shouldn't Texans be given the right to vote themselves peacefully out of the United States???

Here are my ideas.
1. Outlaw lobbyist, any public official found receiving any gift, monetary or other item, are immediately suspended from office, put on trial and if convicted, barred from any public office in the future, all funds or gifts are then surrendered and goes into the public coffers, and the individual will be given a jail sentence equal to the jail term for theft of the value of the gift.

2. Campaign finance reform. A limit will be set for the amount to be spent on ANY and ALL campaigns. Each candidate will be alloted the same amount of money, and an auditor from the IRS will work with the campaign for each camp reporting their findings in the newsmedia each week.

3. Ban TV and Radio campaign advertising. A set number of debates will be televised in which each candidate will be given equal time.

4. TERM LIMITS 2 Terms max for any elected position no exceptions and no grandfather clauses.

There's much more that could be done but tell me what you think.

Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Jimmy Carter will also be targets of the government implemented "two-minutes hate" for the masses to vent their anger at (notice much they hate their fellow Americans more than those that are supposed to be responsible for "attacking America").
