DONT SEND MONEY. Send supplies to refuge camps. Blankets and food is more important right now than school supplies. Donations or blanket drives could help them a lot.

Good luck. I can tell you really care about the issue and i hope that you can help them. Lord knows they need it.

Experience shows that providing money is the best way to help charities out, provided of course it is given to a responsible and capable organisation.

Some well-meaning people donate items, but charity organisations have to spend time and money transporting stuff to the other side of the globe. Often they may waste space sitting in warehouses. They may not be the most useful or appropriate items.

Some dim guy who wanted to be helpful organised the airlifting of teddy bears to children in East Timor. Problem was that teddy bears rot in the tropical heat (allowing bacteria to spread), and kids have more pressing demands (like safe drinking water and safety from militas) than toys.

Best thing to do is get all this stuff, sell it and give the money to an appropriate charity

Very kind of you and I support your efforts. My own family went shopping for all kinds of "stuff" for a Liberian family that we, in America take for granted each day.. (soaps, towels, kitchen supplies, etc... personal items)
It cost us $185 to send it...
I think the cost of shipping it to them is a CRIME....

Believe it or not, I inquired with several churches to solicite donations to assist this family and never received even one reply. Not one person would even donate a new kitchen sponge...
That pretty well told me everything I needed to know... Ugh..

Is your group affiliating itself with a humanitarian group already there in Sudan? That'll be the best way to find out WHAT they need and HOW to get it to them.
Good Luck to you...

Next time, please write a better title. And I don't think you can stop genocide without sending another army to counteract it, and I think you're a bit young to do that at the moment,
