Yes. I am sure that it will be much more accurate, and of course - faster

I am from India and have used EVM since last 5 years in two state elections and one national election. In India, EVMs are used extensively since last 4 years all over the country.
The version used in India is both simple and elegant (in spite of the fact that there are sometimes 25 candidates for one elected post). Complaints from political parties about EVM being rigged are non-existant and EVMs are now accepted as an important component of our election system.
I am using EVM and continue to do so.
May be the rest of the democratic world (particularly the USA) should send experts/officials to study, understand and duplicate the system in their own process (suitably adapted). The card-punch system of USA is quite foolish as was demonstrated in the one before last Presidential election.

In the end, will it really matter? Aren't we already trusting people with our paper vote? Haven't there been, and still are, arguments regarding the validity of paper ballots even though we've been using them for how many years?

Yep, it will be my third time voting, even though it's just a local election, I still feel important, and hopefully my vote will count.
