Hi
Needing a good home for an older domestic Grey and White goose.. may be possible to have 2nd white goose ..Likely female . no idea on age.
Both in good health. Been living in City ( population 5000) pond and riverway and cared for by our family.. One was dumped there several years ago. The other recently.
We are wanting to move out of the area but need to find a home for them before we can do that.
A good home would be... someplace where he can be the boss as he is used to it.. has other birds preferrably ducks not too many other geese.. or none.
He has seen 4 mates and a gosling, killed by people over the years and tends to socialize with ducks better than other geese now. He even adopts a mom duck each spring and her babies as his own...
He needs a loving home with a pond, lake or river, & Love

He is a male.. and is at least 7 years old and Fertile.
The other all white goose we feel is female but are not sure.. was a recent drop off, and seems very used to people

It says they are made of 'pet-safe cardboard'. Won't my hamster chew it up?

He lives indoors and shares a cage with our pet guinea pig. They have been living happily together for as long as we have had them. The hair loss was sudden we first noticed a patch on wednesday 11th Oct then it doubled in size by Thursday, I took him to the vet but she was dumbfounded by it and said it didnt look like mites! He has put weight on since he was castrated and so the vet recommened that we put him on a special diet food, we also bought some hay from the supermarket the other day rather than a pet shop. The balding is very localised though it is no where other than the top of his head and in between his eyes. There is no redness or signs of irritation and he isn't scratching or rubbing any more than usual- so I'm stumped! Does anyone have a similar experience with this? and if so what should I do? the vet said to just keep an eye on him- does anyone know of a specialist in the Newcastle (uk) area?

We have 3 small turtles with red stripes on their necks. They're about as large as a half dollar, or a little bigger. We've had them for about 3 months.

Does anyone know...

How old are they when they mate?

How can you tell if they're male or female?

Do they lay eggs, and if so, how to take care of them, when do they hatch, etc?

They pile on top of each other all the time, and we don't know if they're mating or just snuggling. Sometimes, they're stacked 3 high! (Ok, ok, no jokes!)

Any turtle experts out there willing to advise me?

Thanks!

Amy N.

When you kill an animal or just about anything blood comes out, but with bugs normally just green slime comes out. Why is this?
I suppose bugs don't use blood to keep them running? I wasn't where to post this.

I'm married and my husband never had pets growing up, so as adults we adopted two cats and dog. Now the dog has been gone just over three years, and the oldest cat just recently. My husband has taken both deaths very hard. (we have no children) As an animal lover I want to "jump back in", as it were, yet he is reluctant. Should I give him more time to grieve or just move on to another pet? Don't get me wrong, I grieve with him over the loss, yet I know pets don't have the life expectancy that we wish, and I can grieve my pet and love a new one at the same time. I just need to know if I should give him more time or force the issue and adopt a pet.
