take a tape measure and measure from the middle point of his chest to the middle point of his tail. that amount of inches is what the blanket size will be. if you go to the tack store they may have blankets ranged from xs, s, m, l, xl, xxl etc. the tag should say something like " xs (xx inches-xx inches.)

Measure the horse from the center or his chest to the lngest part of his rump, this would be the length of his rug the pony should get. i.e. 3 foot 3 inches. A pony of 11 hands would probanly have a 3 foot rug, just as an estimate, as my pony has a rug that size, also depends on the heavyiness of your pony, if its fat or thin etc. You can slalso buy chest extenders, taht go on a rug that is too small only buy a foot or so, and the makethe rug longer.

Measure the horse for sure and if the rug doesn't fit, take it back straight away and get another rug, or take the horse to the saddlery and they can get one that fits as snug as a bug!

He will take a small one for sure! When you go to a supply house to get one, (you might be better off to call around before you have to go run around) be sure to tell them he is this tall and they'll know what size. Sometimes they have blankets for ponies, you can find them online for sure. Go to your search engine and type in "pony blankets" and you'll find all you need. Otherwise if the supply store doesn't have it they can order it for you.

The pony would probobly need a 50 to 52 inch> measure from the centre front of his chest to the widest point on his hip by his tail. Don't forget to measure how wide he is then take your measurements to teh tackshop and they will do teh rest.
