The original big 3 networks CBS, ABC, and NBC all have 11 o'clock local news. The newer networks like Fox and CW have theirs at 10. Is there any reason for that?

I don't watch the news much.. but there was a Conair 5191 flight in Lexington, KY (since I live there.. I figured I'd at least see what's up). So weeks after and during.. they are sitting there analyzing why this this and this.. I thought the media's job was to report the news and let us decide for ourselves things like that?

I live in Arkansas, and a few days ago, I saw a report on the local news in which a crazy woman had caused a Greyhound bus to skid off of a highway into a wooded area by going up to the driver and grabbing the steering wheel. According to the news reports, some of the passengers had to go to local hospitals for treatment of MINOR injuries. However, just yesterday, I met an emergency worker who had worked with some of the injured passengers. He told me that some of the passengers' injuries were more severe than the news reports let on, but if the news sources had reported this, then it would have hurt Greyhound's business. Whom can we trust to give us the right information?

I currently live in Chico, CA and I am a sophomore at Pleasant Valley High School. I am on the newspaper staff and I am looking for ways to maintain/improve my journalism knowledge and skills throughout the summer and the rest of high school. I have tried to get an internship for the summer, but there is some law in place saying that high schoolers can't get an internship. The only thing I can do is a job shadow. This seems pointless because all I do is follow around a reporter for a day, if that. Please HELP ME!!!! SOS

I won't publicise his name, but BBC News 24 & Sky News have since yesterday been broadcasting each hour the recorded message of a foreign Imam who is being sought for inciting terrorist attacks in the UK. His full sick message is being played in Arabic with written English subtitles & sometimes also with a verbal English translation.

I'd like to know how the news channels think this is of public benefit & WHY they broadcast it? These terrorist leaders don't need illegal websites or distribution networks anymore, because the BBC & Sky publicise them for free to the nation for all their followers to hear! Surely we need to impose strict laws about this to stop such messages being aired on UK TV? I feel so angry about it. The BBC didn't broadcast Nazi propaganda during WW2 so why do they publicise terrorist messages these days?

Personally, I am so sick of hearing from Michael Moore. He is right on somethings like health care (needs to be better in the US) but other things he isn't so "honest" about.

I felt bad for Woof the other night and I felt bad for Dr. Grupta tonight. When Dr Grupta tried to present points Moore literally pouted. And for a few seconds refused to say anything. Personally, that isn't how you "win" in a debate, pout that your not being heard.

Frankly, I believe CNN over Moore any day. He just seems so one sided and it's hard to take him at his word when he does the exact same stuff that he says the US (or Bush) do. *shrugs*

Whats your opinion? I am interested. I respect the fact if you do feel differently. =)

He doctor shopped and abused drugs, he did everything but ahve his X-wife killed so he wouldn't have to pay child support and was caught with a perscription in his possesion that wasn't his. Anyone else would be in prison.
