It's time to speak out against poor quality journalism. I refer to the latest Britney Spears incident, where she was photographed getting into a car, and snapped wearing no underwear. The fact is that the media spent many years sexualising a young girl, via sexy videos, and incessant prying into her growing womanhood, complete with speculations about her virginity. Now, when she is a sexual WOMAN, she is lampooned. Utter hypocrisy.
I know that journalists will argue that they are giving the public what it wants. Rubbish! The public can't help being bitten by morbid curiosity when these things are published, but that doesn't mean we should be provided with such images. As for 'freedom of the press'... you guys have the freedom to investigate REAL issues. Personally I don't care if Britney wears knickers or not. I don't consider it to be any of my business. Come on, journalists, stop going for the low and easy, and have some pride!

Although when he asked if I liked John I said no, I ask myself if that was the right answer to give. He kept asking me if I liked anything about him and what. He also asked what I disliked about him and if so what. My friend says she thinks John likes me OR the boy that called me was trying to get him a girlfriend, because John was recently rejected by the prettiest girl in school. I am far from being as pretty as some other girls in my school, so if they are trying to hook me up with him to make John feel better, why are they doing this? Does John like me? Did I give the right answer? I've asked myself several times if I might want to give John a try, but I didn't think I was ready because I was sure he didn't like me. However, if he DOES like me, I guess it would be all right. I am now asking myself, "What did you do? WHY the **** did you even do it?" Did I give the right answer? What should I do? Anyone out there with personal experience? Help, please! (SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY, FOLKS!)

During the last several weeks I have observed various points of view about this issue. This is 2006, yet there are still people who refer to a race of people as "the Blacks." Everyone should be up in arms about this exection style murder perpetrated by the very people who are meant to protect us. Does the sins of our past dictate our future? Much emphasis has been put on the past criminal records of the victims. What does that have to do with the fact that these men were fathers, sons, brothers, friends? Two little girls will now grow up fatherless. What difference does their skin color make? Their blood was red! We could look through our past, and examine all our victims with a magnifying glass. An example would be some women who are raped are promiscuous, ie: Nicole Simpson, yet a whole race of people were up in arms about her slaughter and hate OJ. There are times, like now, when I feel that we are going backwards as a people, as a race, THE HUMAN RACE.
