Its because of the notion of "victims." The Donald considers her a 'victim' of substance abuse and since he bought and owns the title of Miss Universe/Miss Usa/Miss Teen America, etc., HE gets to make the decisions. No, its not right. But, lets be HONEST, Tara Connor IS NO VANESSA WILLIAMS AND NEVER WILL BE. Vanessa Williams is a LADY, she acts like a lady and she has more talent in her little toe than Tara Connor does in her whole body. So, while 20 years ago, things were more prudish and unfair, Vanessa Williams ultimately WON out with everything she had going for her, her beauty, voice, acting . . . I doubt Tara Connor ever amounts to anything but another Paris Hilton. But, well see . . .

I don't agree that Tara should have had a 2nd chance. I was absolutely shocked that she wasn't sent packing!
There is a difference between the two scenarios....What Vanessa did, happened way BEFORE she won her title. All of Tara's antics were done WHILE she was Miss USA!!!!
Totally unfair! But that is ok - Vanessa has achieved much success and fame in her life even with the scandal. She worked hard and she deserves every bit of what she has now. People don't remember her for being "dethroned", people just know her as a beautiful singer/actress.
Tara is a nothing. A young girl who took a really good opportunity and blew it!

Listen up idiots. Tara Connor is Miss USA. Vanessa Williams was Miss America. There's a big difference. Now pay attention: Miss USA is based on appearance, Miss America is based on appearance AND talent, morals, and ethics. If Tara was Miss America she would have definitely been fired. It has absolutely nothing to do with race. There will always be small minded people who find race ism under every little rock.

Because Donald Trump is a d*ck. I mean, look at his hair and his stupid pouty face. I dont think it's right that he gave her a second chance. What Tara Connor did goes against the "rules" of the pageant...and she has upset many other beauty pageant contestants. It's stupid...Vanessa Williams is a much better role model than Tara will EVER be.

I am not sure. But all I know is Vanessa Williams should of kept her crown to. She is pretty, and it was before she ran that she posed nude! Tara should be stripped of her crown if that is the case.. But I do like Tara and she does seem honest.. I dont know whose side I am on.......
