Doesn't the Geneva Convention say that civilian targets can not be target if they aren't military installations? Did it apply to the U.S. at that time? Or was immune to it? Were Japanese civilians protected under the convention despite coming from an aggressor nation?

P.S. I'm not trying to be a revisionist or point fingers, I was just curious about the Geneva convention and how it applies to nuclear weapons in warfare.

Do you pray only routine daily prayers? Do you pray for specific needs? Do you pray when you or a loved one are sick? Do you pray in thanksgiving for something you see, hear, feel, taste, touch or otherwise sense?

Remember there are always different ways to look at things. One persons hero is anothers nightmare. Before you answer, ask yourself, would you really wish death upon someone? Even if he does die his name and actions will live on forever. viva la revolution.

Time and again, the First Nation indians in Canada have broken the law. They setup blockades of highways, take up arms against the police, assault civilians, vandalize, blackmail and yet they are not held accountable. They only choose to stand by court decisions that are in their favours and then turn around to claim that white man's laws don't apply to them when it's not in their favour. If anyone else do the things these indians did, they will be arrested. Why is the Canadian provincial and federal government so afraid of these thugs?
This is not the case in America. I am sure the National guard and army will be there so fast to squash any unlawful behaviour by the aboriginals. It's not about discriminating about any one ethnic group. It's about holding everyone to the same law and to make sure nobody being above law. It;s really frustrating and puzzling to watch the native blockade in Caledonia.

the report published by human rights watch called fatalstrikes;israel's attacks against civilians in lebanon.the report covering from july 12 to qana bombing has done a careful compilation of incidents involving attacks on civilians and civilian vehicles . in both categories, victims and witnesses interviewed independently and repeatedly said that neither hizbolla fighers nor hizbolla weapons were present in the area during or just before the israeli attacks took place.it further stated that "by consistently failing to distinguish between combatants and civilians, israel violated fundamental tenet of the laws of war;the duty to carry attacks on military targets only.the extent of the pattern and the seriousness of the consequences indicate the commissioning of war crime.

Israel has countlessly violated the international law, and to the eyes of the world, it is recognizable but not punishable. they do as they please and the world is ok with it ( the US is extremely and unfairly sided with them). Doing so only shows me how savage, cruel and terrrorist israeli gvt is. What do you think?
NOTE: This is a question about Israel, those who wish to defend ISrael must ANSWER the question, not deviate the topic and talk about hamas and hizbullah ( which i despise and am against). The question is about Israel and the world SOLELY.

Some of the very few crimes Israel has commited:
1- Treated palestinians like animals by caging them in their towns, not allowing them to move, some die from not being allowed to reach hospitals.
2- Demolished bldgs where people were inside.
3- Killed UN officials purpisely with laser guided missiles.
4- Bombed and invaded Lebanon, killing women, children etc.
5- blocking humanitian aid.
6- using phosphoric bombs in lebanon.
etc...

It's a caricature about the war between Israel and Palestin and I'd like to know what you think about it. Do you think this pic reflects the truth- or not?

Click on the links below quickly folks! BP is a Yahoo sponser. I'd boycott Yahoo Answers too, but the irony is irresitible!

I think that BP shutting down Prudhoe Bay is a crock. They just want to be able to cry that it results in depleting the reserves and based on the laws of supply and demand, prices must go up!
