Poverty.Growing economies which leave the poor behind. Religous tension (on all sides).
Corruption. Military might versus social progress and democratic change. Aids, preventable disease, famine, border disputes and many, many more. Unfortunately until the members of the Asean nations can speak with one voice in the interests of all little will change.
