That is quite selfish and a little heartless to wish death on a leader of a communist or socialist nation because of their actions or character in the past. Castro is an old man, but a healthy person despite the constant image of him smoking cigarettes. There is little harm Castro could do now...

But it is true one person's nightmare is another man's hero. Just as communism in the non-western world, was a hero and relief from exploitation under capitalism often in disguised in the form of liberation and Democracy.

If Castro were to suddenly drop for any reason, he would be memorialized as one of the greatest revoluntionaries and upholder of communist ideals. Look at Mao Zedong. He has been dead for thirty years and yet he still represents China as a strong man figure. His portrait still to this very day hangs above the gate of Tiannamen Square.

In the U.S., Americans do not like the idea of communists, islamists or any "un-democratic" people being remembered as heroes or martyrs. But look at where the followers of the people are coming from, their nation's history and refusal to follow the status quo and accept capitalism. See, you can't tell other people how to live or how to pick the correct leader.

Fidel Castro, like all of us, will die. There seems to be no benefit to any of us for it to be sooner rather than later. Those set to take over from him are now more hardnosed and dictatorial than he has become.

I don't know him; I don't know his country. I don't wish death on anyone. Death will come to him when it's ready.
