What is your favorite of sayings, quotes or words of wisdom. Do you care to share a lesson learned?
My mom used to say "Life is not a bowl of cherries" because I'm always happy. (Joy of the Lord, thanks be to God) My favorite mantra is "What ever Jesus wants" because I've tried it my way. What do find yourself always saying or referring to? Much appreciated! Oh and uh,
"Jesus Saves" - Hey, another favorite saying! Well, they just come up all over the place!- Don't they...

I have just seen a item of the news regarding a british mother of three who cannot get cancer treatment on the national health partly because the drug is new and how the cost is prohibitive. Frankly this disgusts me a country who can squander funds for scrounging wasters like asylum seekers who culturally have nothing in common with the continent and country they are coming to. The average tax payer is getting a raw deal why should we be providing for another continents people, when the immediate local country is where they should go to claim asylum e.g. iraqis to saudi, etc.

The Israeli army launching an attack was clearly in contravention of the cease-fire agreement.

However, Israel claims that they did not breach the agreement because they only attacked to stop Lebanon re-arming themselves, which was itself in contravention of the cease-fire.

So, Israel are claiming that because Lebanon broke the cease-fire first, their actions were not a breach.

Legally speaking (no inflamed opinions please!), and assuming Lebanon did breach the cease-fire first, are Israel right?

Our company, One World Development Group, is a Florida-based corporation involved in development work in Africa. Since early August 2006, we have been receiving emails, calls, and letters relating to the above listed entity. As far as we can tell, it is a great, big, FAT Internent scam. While most folks are smart enough to know that anyone telling you that if you give them $25 they'll give you $47,000 is LYING, some are not. We've been receiving checks and calls from these folks. PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE!!!

If you went to OUR site and sent us a check from the U.S., we will void it and send it back to you. If you did so from outside the U.S., we will destroy your check but cannot spend international postage to return you check. PLEASE do not let your greed control your common sense, folks, this is so absurd that it is difficult to believe anyone would fall for it. Be careful out there.

I have been trying to determine the purpose of tracking Osama bin Laden when according to the FBI he had nothing to due the 9/11 attacks. The FBI wanted poster for him doesn't mention the 9/11 attacks, it only mention the 1998 embassy attacks. Many other terrorist were also responsible for those embassy attacks. Furthermore the 9/11 commission report only mentions Osama bin Laden twice, and once was a quote from the Times stating the he may have not been involved with the plot. So why all the focus on Osama bin Laden when there are many other terrorists.

Iran denies inspectors access to site
AP - 37 minutes ago

VIENNA, Austria - Iran has turned away U.N. inspectors wanting to examine its underground nuclear site in an apparent violation of the Nonproliferation Treaty, diplomats and U.N. officials said Monday. The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the confidentiality of the information, told The Associated Press that Iran's unprecedented refusal to allow access to the facility at Natanz could seriously hamper international efforts to ensure that Tehran is not trying to make nuclear weapons.

NDP MP's from Ontario touring the rubble of Lebanon, talking with local leaders (and who are probably Hezbollah), saying they are ashamed of being Canadian because Stephen Harper is backing Israel. The NDP MP's, which are not even in the governing party, travelling to Lebanon on taxpayers money to denounce Israel as a state terrorist.

I know they are doing the dangerous work of demining and are also bringing along many vehicles, perhaps vehicles they intend to share with others in the 15,000 strong total peacekeeping force, but how can they be one of the leaders in trying to get the ceasefire and the subsequent Security Council Resolution(s) to bring a lasting peace and offer 200 troops? They're not evencoming all at once.

I don't hate the French. I make an effort to be fair or indifferent toward them and their nation, but this is so hard to not see as blatantly asinine. I don't know France's reasons, maybe I could agree with them, but how does one justify being so involved in the push for peace yet short change committing to it?

I can't wrap my brain around this.

Which countries have offered or implied possible contribution?

I mean I'm glad there was someone who confessed-John Mark Karr, But do you think he really did it or do you think he just wanted to get out of Thailand? And what about him wanting to do a sex change? To me that's just wrong.
I'm glad he confessed but I'm sceptical because he just said it out of the blue. If he is the real killer he'll be put away a long time. If not the real killer is still out there.
And what of his ex saying he was with her and the the family at the time of JonBenet's murder?
Well I'm glad that he's being confined away from the other inmates at the prison.
