I am glad that the passengers had to guts to speak up. After all it was there lives on the line. During the IRA bombing campaign, as I recall, no Asian people were treated as suspects but white people didn't cry "racism!". They just accepted that white people, especially of Irish appearance, would be the main suspects.

I think there should be a terrorism briefing or a 30 minutes class for all the passengers before boarding, the class should include relaxation techniques, discussions on the world affairs and political talks in a classroom like atmosphere and when the passengers feel comfortable then the flight should leave. Just picking up random some who look asian does'nt makes sense.

Absolutely. I'm afraid it was stupidity of the first order to discuss terrorism in such a situation and if the majority of other passengers were not happy to fly with them on the plane then the will of the majority should prevail.

Just cos they were Asian and discussing terroism, doesn't mean they intended to blow the plane up or anything. However, they could have picked their timing a bit better. It is a bit silly discussing it in an airport given current circumstances. And I guess if enough people complained about them, then the airline had no choice but to remove them from the flight.

It is sad that it has come this but that is the way people feel now. It has been brought about by the actions of a few Asians.
It is going to be necessary to profile passengers before long. There is only one group involved in terrorism of this kind.

I hadn't heard they were discussing terrorism but speaking in a foreign language. This alone should not be enough, but aparently they also kept CHECKING THEIR WATCHES! I would have a hard time working up the nerve to accuse someone of terrorism without good cause. If the two have been completely cleared then it's a sad day.

I guess the majority rules. People are being vigilant and maybe the men were trying to be intimidating -I don't know ; but if they cleared security they should be able to get another flight . It's a shame when innocent people bear the brunt of the terrorists' actions - but at the airport -there are priorities and other lives at stake . It's not a time for guess work .

I agree with the passengers. I'd have wanted these guys detained with full body searches of all the relevant orifices if necessary before they were allowed baxk on board. Security before offending a couple of people any day!!!!

I think that everyone prior to flying discusses terrorism or the plane crashing. I wouldn't have refused to fly personally.
