Besides the fact that they brought supplies to the International Space Station, they also made a point of showing they could repair the shuttle while in space. Do you think they did this to show the rest of the world, in the face of a rising space program in China, that they still are the leading nation in space technology?

When you try to imagine what it will be like, what do you see? What are the first images that pop into your head?

Any and all areas of life on planet earth: ecology, transportation, food production, distribution and diet, energy and shared resources, fashion, technology and science, religion and spirituality, media, politics and government, wild places and animals, hunger and world suffering, the moral heartbeat of humanity.....and the list goes on.......

what are the first images that pop into your head -- thinking about 50 years from now?

I'm paying just over US$1 per litre. Over the last few days, the situation in the Middle East has become much nastier than usual and the gas price at my pump has jumped. This is price gouging in my estimation since the gas they're holding was purchased long ago at a lower price. So who out there is being ripped off the most, huh?

Albert Einstein said it was "the universe and human stupidity." Even he wasn't 100% sure about the universe. *wink*

What are your thoughts?

I'm hoping that it is numbers and my supply of chocolate.
Albert Einstein stole his theory of E=mc(sqr) from Holy Book Qur'an. How intelligent he was!!!

(hopefully not) world war?

I just feel the tensions around the world among nations are escalating. More and more problems are turning into crisis. I have a feeling that sooner or later wars between nations from the continents of Europe (Caucasus), Africa, Asia (Middle East, South Asia, East Asia), South America, and North America are inevitably going to happen. Not that I am hoping for war, nor I am jinking. I do not like war. I want peace in this world, on this planet. I am just hoping that my feeling is wrong. I am hoping and wishing for world peace.

May there be peace on Earth, so that when our human children of the future looking back at Earth from outer space that Earth will still be a nice blue oblate spherical planet, not a planet with holes left by destructions of wars, bombs, atomic weapons, or any other weapons of mass destructions.

Who else is seeing this situation heating up into a really REALLY huge mess? Isn't this the beginning of World War III? (not that it isn't already a huge mess)

What do you FEEL about this? Are you trying not to think about it and just go on like it's every other day...or are you scared for your kids, your family and your loved ones?

I feel a sense of 'impending doom' but I also have inner peace -- whatever happens I believe that ultimately Love will prevail. But it will probably get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

Should we strike North Korea pre-emptively before they strike either Japan or South Korea? We are going to war if North Korea attacks either country anyways, why not just get it over with? Unfortunately I think we will have to use a nuke or two to send them a clear message that we are not fooling around.
