An 82 year old man? With a user name like girl... yeah sure.

I don't buy it for two reasons. First is the reason above. Second, if you used a cane or walking stick, you would already know to get the right height or, if you have the adjustable, to adjust it. At 82, you would be getting shorter, not taller. An 82 year old would have stopped growing some 60 years back. Nice try.

Just a suggestion if have seen the pope walking with a long stick in his hand. Seems like you can use something like that, would be more comfortable for you, i hope.

Try a Walking Stick and Staffs you can find them online at lot's of places. Google it. I am sure they can customize them to what your preference would be. There are beautiful ones han carved from nice ok branches. Very very nice.
