Why were the U.N. "peacekeepers" in that area DURING a WAR?
I understand that they are there to "observe" and make sure there is no funny-business going on. They are supposed to observe things that go on around the border.
For 6 years, they did not notice AT LEAST 13,000 missles going to Hezbollah. Or maybe they did, but they didn't report it??? I know they can't do anything about it, but AT LEAST report it???? COMMON!
They are supposed to be "peacekeepers", but they obviously failed to do so....since all this happened. What happened to stopping Hezbollah from going across the border and kidnapping Israeli soldiers?
Why didn't they enforce the U.N. resolution of disarming Hezbollah? Yes, I know they can't disarm them....but they SHOULD have enforced that to the Lebanon government to do so. That is there job.
They are SUPPOSED TO KEEP PEACE....AND THEY FAILED!
