This programme was made by Martin Durkin. He says himself on the website Prison Planet he wanted to call it 'Apocalypse my ****', but he thought the title he chose would be 'better for ratings'. This is the same man who in 1997 made a series called 'Against Nature', in which he blamed envioronmentalists for the deprivation and deaths of millions in the Third World. Channel 4 had to broadcast a prime-time apology and the Independent Television Commission chastisied Durkin for using 'underhanded editing techniques, distorting and misrepresenting the known views of those interviewed and for misleading those who took part as to the format, subject matter and purpose of these programmes'. He went on to make a programme where GM proponants like CS Prakash played a starring role. (see Getting your science from charlatans). Whilst I'll always defend free speech, you have to be aware of this kind of agenda and manipulitive method. Did he swindle you into believing him?

I was reading an article where it said that there might be problems because of the hour change ( like what they expected in 2000, the Y2K). That technological stuff manufactured before the 2005 might experience difficulties, because those things like computers were progammed to change hour in April.

Well I guess my comp was done after 2005 cause it changed i hr ahead automatically.

The pharmacuetical industry has a (avg) profit of 63%. Dozens of other industries are providing as much profit for their investors. So why is the oil indsutry's pissant 9.8% profit such a big deal? Why would anyone invest in a 10% profit company when they can triple their money in dozens of other companies?
Secondly, does anyone realize what a big player China is in the oil (and steel) industry? If private U.S. companies want to pay $50 a barrel for oil to keep our cost down, but the government of China will pay $65 a barrel, then what do you think the oil price will be? Do you really think us trying to take profits from the oil companies will affect China's decision on how much to pay for oil, thus setting a reference cost for the world?
Why don't more people complain about the obscene profits Iran, Saudi Arabia, Venezuala, et.al., make on the sale of their oil or how they are using those profits to support terrorism?
