Gonzalez should never have been confirmed in the first place--his advocacy of torture and unconstitutional surveillance of the American people is a matter of public record and makes him unfit to hold his office.

What we are seeing now--the violations--blatently illegal--of American's civil rights--was predictible and inevitable with such a person at the helm of the Justice Department.

But I do think he should be forced to resign, rather than prosecuted. Not because he does not deserve to be put on trial--but because he is unfortunately shrewd enough to avoid conviction. Better to just force him out--it accomplishes the purpose of removing a threat to the people.

BTW--don't forget the Director of the FBI (and the agents who broke the law)--all of them should be axed.

He was evil in Texas and he has been no better in Washington. If congress will bring charges against him, leave him where he is. The man makes my flesh crawl. And I'm not even an American.

I was never a huge fan of his, but now that so many lefties are so mad at him I'm starting to think I need to revaluate him. He's probably okay.
