..it seems to me that by leaving Iraq while they are in a state of civil war (a situation our actions put them in) would be like firing a torpedo at a Luxury Liner because they may have been hijacked, and then leaving while all the innocent passengers drown! What do you think?

Newspaper circulation fell 2.6 percent in the six-month period ending in March, according to recently released data, as the industry continued to struggle with competition from other media outlets and the Internet. They have all the reasons one could ever want or not want to hear. My family and friends and I believe it is for reasons no one has addressed or for that matter will address. It is the same tired story the guy in the pouring rain “the hurricane is getting closer”; the snow, the shoot out, theft or murder. Today’s media would never have survived a day with the media of old. They do not want to do news they do not want to get dirty or look under a rock. It either cost too much or in the long run it could cost them. Recently I suggested our tired rag of a paper report on modern snake oil men. That is businesses who are legal but don’t tell you everything. For example we all have seen the ad where the company offers to take over your insurance settlement that is being paid you in installments paying you a one time buy out. What they are not telling you is many times you only get 50% of your settlement. The income tax preparer who offers you a quick loan many times at 40%. The company that gives you a quick loan on your cars title (the military have placed them off limits) if you do not pay it ALL back the remainder is penalized 150% each day. The companies who advertise no interest or payments on your furniture for two years. Then on the first day it is due if the entire amount is not paid penalties are added for each month you could have been paying. News? Certainly is and is helping the public many of which do not understand matters like this and count on the government to protect them. Do you agree?

How many of you think they should be held responsible and sued for showing a product that is know to be dangerous or fraudulent? EX two weeks ago the federal government fined all the diet pill makers the largest fines ever levied for fraud (of course none of them worked). Yet you turn around and here is the advertisements still running and I know people who believe since these are still being aired they aren't the ones which do not work, in other words by them airing the ads they are vouching for the product. Another example are the gas savers inventions again NONE worked but yet they air. The ads for how to get rich the fine print say results not typical, but again they are aired. Look at the Q-Ray bracelet CHICAGO (Reuters) - Put the Q-Ray bracelet on the shelf along with purported baldness cures and feel-good tonics after a federal judge ruled on Friday the jewelry did not quell pain as advertised. U.S. District Judge Morton Denlow ordered QT Inc. of Mount Prospect, Illinois, and its owner, Que Te Park, to refund more than 100,000 buyers of the bracelets -- priced up to $249.95 -- and forfeit profits of $22.6 million earned between 2000 and 2003.

I think that Uncle Sam is a young empire and sees a chance to strike while the irons hot. I think that "the war on terror" is used as a pretext for US empirial agression.

DANIELLE LLOYD will come out of the Celebrity Big Brother house unaware she has been DUMPED by horrified boyfriend Teddy Sheringham, the News of the World can reveal.

A source close to the West Ham footballer said he felt forced to act or risk undoing years of good work trying to kick racism out of the sport. A third of Teddy’s team-mates are black.

The source said: “No matter how much she says she’s not racist, no one’s ever going to believe her. Teddy’s in an impossible position playing in a mixed race team like West Ham."

Some of his team-mates have been bitterly hurt by her comments and reckon Dani’s gone over the top. Teddy’s completely embarrassed by her behaviour and deeply ashamed of it.”

“She’s been acting like a horrible kid and nothing she can say when she comes out will make it better.”

The besotted 23- year-old model will be devastated.

She went into the house with a blue teddy bear drenched in the 40-year-old striker’s aftershave and even discussed marrying him in the show.

She was also expecting him to be the first person to greet her when she leaves the house.

what say u?
Jade Goody has admitted that fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant Shilpa Shetty had been subjected to "bullying and racism" in the programme. She told the News of the World her behaviour towards the Bollywood star had been the biggest mistake of her life and she said she is concerned about her family receiving abuse from the public as a result of her behaviour. Jade, 25, said she needed psychological help and that she would only have herself to blame if it spelt the end of her career.
