Well, if Bono is good enough for one ... personally I think Paul Weller has contributed a lot more to music AND he is Briitish.

Female celebrities had themselves a double page in the Daily Mail not long ago. There was two pictures of each. One of their public face and another where the paparazzi had caught them off guard.
So real-life they should do this on billboards. Give their consent to show their faces without make-up and educate all these teenage girls that ruin their lives trying to look like them. Or even better ... do you need their consent to plaster that double spread in the mail onto billboard size posters. Or is it all about who owns the copyright to the pictures?
And before anyone starts ... it's not about embarrasing the celebs. It's about them showing that it is allright not to be shiney and polished and trimmed all the time.

MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Somali Islamists urged foreign Muslim fighters on Saturday to join their "holy war" against Ethiopia after days of heavy fighting between Islamist and pro-government troops.

The Islamists and pro-Somali government fighters have been firing artillery and rockets at each other across frontlines since Tuesday, killing dozens and wounding hundreds. Though residents reported a lull in fighting early on Saturday.

"Our country is open to Muslims worldwide. Let them fight in Somalia and wage jihad, and God willing, attack Addis Ababa," said Islamisti defense chief Yusuf Mohamed Siad "Inda'ade", a hard-liner known for his belligerent rhetoric.

"We told the world to stop this problem. We told them to do something before it becomes a blazing fire that would engulf the region," he told reporters in the Islamist stronghold of Mogadishu.

It looks like Rudy is going to run for president in 2008. Personally I believe he is a much better candidate than John McKain. God help us if Barak Obama were to be elected. Hillary would be a much better choice on the democratic ticket. I'm not ragging on Obama because he is black. So get that thought out of your mind. Because I would certainly like strong candidates for both parties no matter what his-her ethnicity might be. Obama just doesn't strike me as the kind of leader who would stand steadfast for the U.S. against the jihadists, and the Iranians who want to conquer the west. Rudy on the other hand, is a strong candidate who would rise to the challenges and dangers we face with determination and resolve. Rudy did wonders for NYC. The crime rate in NYC dropped dramatically during his years as mayor. He strengthened the economy and helped lower the unemployment rate in NYC as well. I also hope that Netanyahu will win back his position as Israeli PM. These two could work together

Some Jews go to the extent of demanding they be taken down and file suit in court to have them removed from public places. At the least they are rude to people who wish them a Merry Christmas by mistake (not knowing they were Jewish)
It is very insulting after all the christain men women and children that have died because of our support for Israel and the Jewish people.
We even helped establish the state of Israel in the United Nations, after rescuing you from concentration camps in Germany.
We are in a war currently, and will probably have to strike Iran.
In addition we give Billions of dollars annually to Israel directly for their defense.
Can't we put up a Christmas tree without your insults or sneers, and if we wish you a Merry Christmas by mistake can't you turn the other cheek?

Sure, all eyes are on North Korea, Iran, The Middle East, but there must be potential conflicts brewing that go largely unnoticed, or could just suddenly spring up. Any ideas????

Evil is not powerful enough to destroy us. So it gets in our
hearts and minds and makes us angry, so we will destroy
ourselves!

It's time to speak out against poor quality journalism. I refer to the latest Britney Spears incident, where she was photographed getting into a car, and snapped wearing no underwear. The fact is that the media spent many years sexualising a young girl, via sexy videos, and incessant prying into her growing womanhood, complete with speculations about her virginity. Now, when she is a sexual WOMAN, she is lampooned. Utter hypocrisy.
I know that journalists will argue that they are giving the public what it wants. Rubbish! The public can't help being bitten by morbid curiosity when these things are published, but that doesn't mean we should be provided with such images. As for 'freedom of the press'... you guys have the freedom to investigate REAL issues. Personally I don't care if Britney wears knickers or not. I don't consider it to be any of my business. Come on, journalists, stop going for the low and easy, and have some pride!

What do you think is the perfect punishment for Bin Laden? Not what the courts will decied but what we the public think.
I personally think we should tie him up to one of the towers in New York and let the New Yorkers (and anyone else) do what ever they want to him. There is no more equal justice then that.
