Female celebrities had themselves a double page in the Daily Mail not long ago. There was two pictures of each. One of their public face and another where the paparazzi had caught them off guard.
So real-life they should do this on billboards. Give their consent to show their faces without make-up and educate all these teenage girls that ruin their lives trying to look like them. Or even better ... do you need their consent to plaster that double spread in the mail onto billboard size posters. Or is it all about who owns the copyright to the pictures?
And before anyone starts ... it's not about embarrasing the celebs. It's about them showing that it is allright not to be shiney and polished and trimmed all the time.

I do agree with you, it does send out the wrong message but I have no idea about the copyright thing.

It depends on the person. Katherine Hepburn had it, Meryl Streep has it, and many other fine actress and singers have it. It seems to me, the less talent the actress/singer has, and the more willingness to let her agent and the media be pimps to get more press coverage for her (men too, by the way) the more intrusive they will be. the best actors and singers don't need this crap, they get by on their talents alone.

some of them don't because it's necessary for them to degrade themselves in order to be in the news and the public eye.

if htey had decency, it's likely that they wouldn't have celebrity.

which would YOU rather have?
