After watching the footage of Saddam's "execution," it made me think. They said he wasn't hooded in the customary manner that they hang people in, and they said that they didn't receive the actual footage of him being hanged... how do we know he was actually executed.

So, my question being: Is it all just a hoaxe?

Saddam Hussein should have be condemned to jail, and should have been tried for the chemical attacks on 170,000 Kurds with American chemical weapons, not only for reprisal against the 150-ish who attempted to kill him.

His trial was even more ridiculous than Stalin era trials were. A shame (one more) for America. But the truth is that American leaders just didn't want this trial to take place (a trial where they may have been asked to give their testimony).

Also to say, to be fair, that the 10 years Americain blocus killed far more Iraqi civilians than Saddam Hussein ever did.

I'm in high school and I'm a Muslim. I wear the headscarf called a hijab so you can kinda always pick me out in a crowd and know I'm a Muslim. Anyways, I was sitting at my lunch table and one of the lunch para's/aid comes up to me and asks me "I wanted to ask you a questions PERSOANLLY. What do you think of Saddam being executed?" She didn't even say Saddam Hussein, just Saddam like I just HAVE to know who he is. I do know, but I'm just saying.She asked me this when IT WAS FIRST said that Saddam was to be executed (I think in late November.) And I'm just sitting there like, "what?" It took a while to even figure out what she was talking about. I hadn't read the newspaper so I didn't know what she meant but as soon as I figured out, I was like "Um i dunno." I was so shocked that I didn't get to say what I really wanted to say which was "Why are you asking me?" Does anyone besides me and my friends think this is a racist comment?
