With the US throwing it’s weight around the globe overthrowing one nation so far and threatening others in order to benefit it's own interests, is it time to slap sanctions on this rogue nation? Is it time energy producing nations stop exports to the US until it decides it will play by the rules?

"Okay. Watch the news and see how other countries are faring. When famines, tsunamis, free speech and social ills strike other countries, its the U.S. they call on for help! "

A few million dollars in aid compared to a trillion dollars in war. The US is not the only nation giving aid and when put side by side other nations, the US federal aid per capita pales in comparison.

"As soon as fuel cell technology is perfected, those sand fleas can keep their black goo. US dollars are what THEY are all fighting over anyway."

Fuel cell technology? Oh good, what are you going to feed it with, Americans dollars, where does the hydrogen come from?
The Euro is outpacing the dollars these days as the currency of choice.

Oh hydrogen it's so abundant. Did you forget that you need a great deal of energy to extract it? So where does that come from?

The US economy is in the toilet and the dollar is sinking faster than a greesed bolder. The US is a mere shadow of a once great nation. China and the energy producing nations have you by the short and curlys with debt and dependance. You have a shrinking middle class, and a you have ballooning debt. Your ability to feed yourselves is threatened by global warming and if you continue you won't even have enough energy or water for crops. The patient is sick, I'd give it no more than 50 years until collapse and the second revolution.

If only it were that simple....... We are, in effect, the bully on the playground. Someone is unfortunately going to eventually give us what we deserve!

So do you suggest that the US ignore all the evil being perpetrated against truly innocent people around the world?
How could a country claim they are on th moral high ground while watching so many suffer.

For a start, YOU can boycott every American product or services, all American inventions and conveniences. That'll show us...

Additional details:
As soon as fuel cell technology is perfected, those sand fleas can keep their black goo. US dollars are what THEY are all fighting over anyway.

More additional details:
Since Hydrogen is by far the most abundant atom in the universe (90%) there should be no shortage in the forseeable future. (Nice try though)

No need to beat the drum about the "Euro". If any of the 12 participating countries should experience severe economic problems or choose to withdraw from "Euroland" the debt of the remaining countries would balloon and render the new currency worthless.

The U.S. is working for world interest If America falls, the rest of the world falls with it. There is a huge burden being the most powerful and influential country on Earth.

Sure we're a Rogue nation. We were founded upon ideas of freedom and democracy, yet stole this land and obliterated its original inhabitants. We're still the envy of the world. I don't see too many people running to migrate to Iran, or Korea, or Europe. There are no better opportunities, and formerly-guaranteed freedoms than in America. We've got tons of problems, and as an American I have every right to complain and moan about them. As non-Americans, the rest of the world doesn't comprehend what it means to be American, and lack the insight and knowledge to whine about how we treat other countries. Personally, we should lead by example, by eliminating poverty, crime, bigotry, corruption, greed, waste and the other problems all nations have. Until we have a freethinking, intelligent President and pseudo-"representatives" in the USG, we will continue to set a bad example to the rest of the world.

What will the sanctions be, and who will it benefit. No one steps up to do what need to be done in the Mid East and our economy always finds a way to bounce back. For oil, there are other places to acquire it, but other markets will suffer as well, probably not as bad as others, but soon Cuba may be a new Us friend, cuz where's Castro...Its all a matter of time how things will all played out. The US isn't really a rogue nation now, but a nation that has problems on their hands...As Gerald Ford is laid at rest, May a new era in American history find someone to bring us home from Iraq. It is time for change in America, we are a hard working nation of people who don't really care for violence. Its time for countries to build for themselves. Some countries would suffer if our exports were stopped, and we are playing by the rules...America is the only country with Balls!!!

Right now the United States is in power primarily through military might. Historically nations that are dependent on their military strength for clout, dissipate. With the military budget eating up an ungodly percentage of their national capital, and their national debt increasing, the American coin is erratic, but slowly falling. Investments have been moving noticeably from typically monopolized American markets to others (European, Chinese, and Japanese mostly). It is my opinion that with the US stirring up for itself trouble in the middle east, and slashing their own financial feet feet, soon and embargo would be unnecessary.

As a con... a drastic drop in the American market could plummet the world into a second depression. It is a domino effect we have seen before. We are all too interconnected.

(And we dont wish to even wanna "plant our flag" and take over those countries. Like the old days of England, Spain, France and Russia. If the U.S. is doing all of the world's "dirty work", by all means, let us stop! Then who would the world depend on? I live in the greatest country on the planet! We all get along pretty well here.

why dont we just leave the rest of the world on its own and say"here you take care of the terrorists who are blowing themselves up, taking hostages and cutting their heads off and we'll just sit and criticize you on how you do it. We wont come to your aid unless we are directly threatened. We'll just be leaving all of our bases accross the world empty good byee and good luck saving the world from the terrorists, alone, O and you can just help with the problems in africa and accross the world by yourself" BTW my community come together every year and we raise over $200,000 that we then send to hati(poorest country on the western hemi) through our church. We also raise money for african efforts. so dont think america is pouring out money only for the BS war
