That's also just federal government offices are closed. State government offices will be open (my husband is a State government worker and will be working) and county government offices at least they are open in our county and state. So all the state government workers in our state our working which are libraries, schools, etc. State courts will be open which is the majority of the courts system, etc.

Banks will be open. Too bad government offices will be closed. You'd think the Republicans, who boast about being such hard workers and industrious people, would honor Ford by providing a full day of conscientious government service to the public.

I'm sorry but I work at a bank and yes we have to work on Tuesday-banks are not allowed to close more than 3 days in a row and since Monday is a holiday there is our 3rd day and we are opened for business as usual on Tuesday.

Not that I know of. At least where I live. I work at a bank as a proof operater and have heard no news of any closings. On the one hand it's good because I get paid, but on the other it isn't because I have to work 10 hours today because we were off Monday. Working at a bank we never get more then one day off at a time for holidays and such.

Some banks will and others won't. It up to the governor of each state if the banks are closed on Tuesday. Federal Reserve may be considered an essential service. So, they may be open as well.

i think of it relies upon on the place you reside and the undeniable fact that President Ford did no longer die in place of work. Like JFK as an occasion, he died on an identical time as in place of work, inflicting colleges to be closed early and closed the day of his funeral.

i've never seen a bank that missed an excuse to close for the day, or open late, or close early.
those bankers work less than teachers and cops! amazing but true.
