Ford was a peaceful man, and Saddam liked violence. The death of Saddam will have a bigger impact because Saddam was a bigger threat to us than Ford.

President Ford played a very important role in healing the country after the Watergate controversy. He also gave of himself for his country throughout his working years. He was 93 years old and entitled to die after a long and good life. His death is not what has an impact: it was his life.
Saddam Hussein used his time on earth to create destruction pain and death. His life was a disaster for humanity; his death is a relief. to those he victimized.

Saddam - that evil chapter had to be closed. Ford at 93 had lived a long life.

The hanging. It is a double edged sword. The demise of an undoubtedly evil man, in a humiliating way also almost assures the death of unknown numbers of American and Allied soldiers who will be caught in the inevitable rioting.
