I wasn't crazy about her when she first started, I'm partial to Kiran Chetry, she's yummy. Anyway, I started warming up to Gretchen then I started noticing how she wears her religious beliefs on her sleeve. That really rubs me the wrong way, I wouldn't mind if she moved on, maybe the 700 club has an opening.

I am sorry for my grammar, but why do we have News Anchors?
Why we have to look at their faces when they talked?
Why can't they just show us mostly crime scenes, charts, polls, victims' pictures, weather maps, and other events, instead of a pretty or handsome news anchor sit there and talking, that is so boring???

David Hicks is a young Australian who has been kept in solitary confinemnt for 5 years (with the lights on 24hours a day) by the USA. He has not been charged. I do not believe anything he did was (at the time) agains the law. So the USA have now changed the law so they can charge him. David was taken capture in Afganistan like many young men from around the world he thought he was "doing the right thing". Since his capture all British prisoners have been sent home. Why not David? Is it because the UK PM is Bushes "yes man" or is it that the Australian governement has made no effort to do what they are supposed to do....ensure its citizens human rights. At the end of WW1 & 2 prisoners where sent home except the "big boys" who where charged stood trial etc. Not David Hicks it is against international law to hold a man for 5 years without charge then deliberatly change the law so they can now charge him. That is like us using this site. 5 years time a law is passed and we are all charged!

You can google it which leaves me confused. When you watch footage... it's looks like a missle hit the pentagon. Evidence is so obvious. So what;s the deal with no real big recognition of who these "heroes" are. Most look like military employees who could have "crucified" themselves for our country. So, someone help me with this confusion. Thanks!

Sometimes I ask a question, and I get an answer with one of several of the following sentences in it:

There are starving children in Africa
How can we attain world peace?
How can we end racism?
Feed the starving children of the world?
Stop genocides all over the world?
Teach illiterate adults to read?
Cure Cancer?
Stop date rape?
Stop murder?

They complain that I'm asking a question when all that is going on. Yes I know all of that is happening in this twisted world and I try to do my best to help support efforts to prevent those things (donating to charities, etc), but what do people expect? It's not that easy to leave my entire family, pack my bags, and go to Africa to help starving children. I really wish I could, but it's just not that easy. So why do people have to go on and on about those things, and say other people don't do enough about it? Shouldn't that be up to the government? Wouldn't billions towards starving be better than billions towards a war?

Unless something intrevenes, we may be seeing an all out battle between Fatah and Hammas supporters . That can not be good for long term regional prospects.

It seems like today's media is muzzled unless it's something so outrageous as people protesting at the funerals of dead soldiers or a prominent sex scandal. The day-to-day impact is strictly avoided.

John Gotti skyrocketed to power after killing Paul Castellano on December 16, 1985, becoming the most poweful mafia boss in the country while dodging three legal trials and finnaly being brought down by his two-faced right hand man.Or so the media wants you to think. In reality Gotti killed Big Paul without the mob's comision approval, becoming hated by the other famlies for this as well as his constant exposure in the media.Senior members of his family hated him for his public exposure and antaginization of law enforcement. His own underboss turned on him for badmouthing him to other members of the family and Gotti was caught time and again for opening his big mouth on tape when he knew he was being recorded. When he came into power membership was measured at 350 made guys. When he went to prison, it was under 160.When he died, the mob was so angry with him they ordered that no made man was allowed to show at his funeral. However the media makes him out to be the godfather.Mafia or media?

There is much speculation on when the 'great awakening' which is described as an awareness of the human race, a convergence if you will, of wisdom, psychology, and science, that will allow us to view things in a more enhanced perspective. There is much assumption that such an 'evolvement' of the way of thinking will only happen in certain developed countries, such as the USA, and not until another 200 years passes by.

Your thoughts? Recent progress in technology, nanotechnology, and theories about gravity may lead us yet to find the answer to the 'unified theory'---and enhance our understanding about existance, the universe and religion--as well as about the realities of life and the practicalities (realizations like democracy is not the perfect system, that meritocratic goverments whith checks and balances is enough....but mainly...that the dessimination of information DUE TO THE INTERNET, makes it practically impossible to monopolize information)...thus, increases awareness
