I worked night shift at several nursing homes over the past 25 years.I have had many strange experiences. We had one jokester that used to like to pull the call bells when the residents were out of their rooms.Wonder if he was laughing at us when we would go into the room and find it empty.

As a kid I spent parts of the summers and holidys at my maternal grandparents house. This old house, built in 1910, was NEVER silent. But what I never got used to was a certain upstairs bedroom. Even as a young man in my 20s I sometimes slept with a lamp on, I came to find out years later the owner who built that house had an affair and some one poisened his wife in that room. ...and this was the original master bed room. I never felt safe in the dark in that room...and never knew why until years later. Also the light switch to the ceiling light was behind the inward opening door. I understand the woman who may have done the poisoning drove around the block where this house was located several times a day for years.

Small town in North Texas.

When I first got married we lived in a little house that had been abandoned.
It was a cute little fixer upper. I went to repaint the kitchen and started sanding
the rough spots. Underneath was the same green colour that I had picked.
The ghost was helping me chose, I think. She was quite busy before I had
children. She would slam the kitchen cupboards closed or open them. I
picked up a vibe that she never had any children and that was what she
wanted. I became obsessed with having children. After my first baby was
born she stopped. Everything went along okay until my husband went
through some kind of midlife crisis and started being mean to me and the
kids. We decided to leave. The night before we left she appeared in the
doorway of my oldest daughter's room. She had a box in her hands. My
daughter got the feeling that she was giving us her okay to go.

In 1990, my husband and I bought our first house in the historical district in the town we resided in, in Illinois. The house was built in 1896. It was a beautiful 3 story Victorian home with 4 bedrms on the second floor and 1 on the third floor which was actually a ball room when the house was built originally. They say spirits will be stirred in some homes when reconstruction or rennavation has occurred.About 2 weeks after we had started rennavating my daughter (16 yrs old) at the time had seen 2 spirits around on the 2nd floor. One of the spirits was around her early 20's my daughter thought her hair was up in a bun like style and wearing a long white dress and the other spirit was of a little girl that had long hair and was wearing a long dress also and was carrying what looked like a doll in her hands, about the age of 6. They weren't mean spirits but curious one's. I had not had the pleasure in seeing these spirits but I did believe my daughter. One early morning around 5am I was getting ready for work and when I looked across my bedrm into my sewing rm I witnessed my Great Aunt's rocking chair rocking back and forth as if someone was in the chair rocking away.I had placed a shawl over the back of the chair and I again witnessed the shawl raise up from the chair as if someone had picked it up in mid air. I wasn't afraid I figured it was our spirit guests having some fun. After we had finsihed with our home we hadn't seen our guests in quite awhile until I placed our home for sale. My realtor came by one afternoon and took a tour of our house and when she came back down from the upstairs she walked over to me and said softly in my ear "you have some house guests upstairs" I then looked at her and smiled and replied "oh so you have met annie and sally, the new addition to our family" and my realtor looked at me and smiled.

While working in an isolated area I was approached by an old man asking where a local cemetery was located. I was up on a ladder an I told the man to wait a minute while I climbed down. I turned and looked back and the man was gone. I could see almost 360 degrees but never saw the man any where. I spooked me.
