It kind of makes me mad how all they talk about is Cory Lidle and how he died because he was famous... but they never ever even talk about the other passenger on board. I don't even know who he is or his name. All I know is that he was an airplane instructor but on the other hand, I've heard a million things about Cory Lidle... even his baseball career.

Your opinions on this?

GREENLEAF, Idaho (Oct. 12) - Say an earthquake snaps a dam and the full force of the Boise River floods the Treasure Valley, driving untold thousands toward high ground.

Or maybe the subdivisions spreading west from Boise finally push big-box, subwoofer, exit-ramp America right up to this plateau of mint and alfalfa fields, where rural lives have passed in peace since Quakers settled a century ago.

However humanity’s rush may arrive, a town must prepare. Greenleaf, population 862, is not taking the task lightly. Thus the proposed language for Section 2, Chapter 6, Subsection 2 of the Greenleaf City Code.

“Heads of households to maintain firearms,” the heading announces.

“In order to provide for the emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants,” the proposal says, “it is recommended that every head of household residing in the city limits maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore, and obtain appropriate training relating to proper, safe and lawful handling of firearms.”

Is anyone as tired as I am of the media freenzy surounding the tragic accident in the NYC VFR corridor? The media types are looking for sinsationalizm and titilating news gossip. Debbie Hersman from the NTSB is doing a great job and sticking with the known facts. I certaintley hope there will not be a knee jerk reaction brought on by mis informed political powers and news media prattle.

I'm trying to research frood and drug store prices going back decades. The newspaper insert ads for such stores would be a logical place. The regional newspapers offices say they don't keep that information, since it's up to the ad buyers to do that. The stores' offices say they don't keep their old ads on archive, either. And the public libraries say they 1) throw those ads out, and 2) never microfilm them for the archives, both to save shelf space and processing time. Are there any places I should ask?

It is unfortunate of Cory Lidle accident, but I just don't see how this makes "news". It also makes the case why we don't have flying cars. The average person is incompetent.

More people die every year from bee stings than shark attacks, yet it's a tough sell for the networks to get you amped-up about a bee sting, so they feed us fear...

Plane crash's...MUCH more people die every year on America's hwy's due to alcohol(roughly 120,000 since 9/11), but we can't get "excited" about people who look like us, drink too much, and kill us driving drunk.

Think we as Americans have our priorities mixed-up?
